Zydacco is now the Hohner Cajun Mini SqueezeBox! With high quality four-reeds-per-note (LMMH) sounds from the new Hohner Cajun IV accordion, treble+bass/chord buttons, and reverb effects, the Hohner Cajun Mini SqueezeBox app now sets the standard for virtual accordions on the iPhone/iPod Touch! All former owners of the Zydacco app receive the Hohner version and of course all future updates for free. This version supports both iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 sized screens, taking full advantage of the extra screen space on the iPhone 5. Description of Hohner Cajun Mini

Exactly matching the layout of Hohner's Cajun IV diatonic accordion in the key of C, this intuitive virtual accordion app feature a super responsive, one-row fingerboard that plays and sounds like the traditional 4-reed (LMMH) instrument. Both the treble and bass/chord sides of the instrument are provided. The Hohner Cajun Mini-SqueezeBox allows musicians to practice chord combinations, scales, and songs on-the-go. Headphones can be used for private practice, or the audio output of the virtual accordion can be amplified by plugging into computer speakers, or other sound enhancing devices. To play, simply touch the buttons. This type of accordion plays different notes on the push or pull of the bellows. To switch between bellows push and pull, just touch anywhere in bellows or bass side. Touch to switch to push notes, lift to switch to pull notes. When playing the bass-side buttons, you can touch between the buttons to operate the bellows. Touch the '?' icon to show the note names for each button.

Reviews of Hohner Cajun Mini

  • No good

    App doesn’t work
  • Not Worth It

The app was better before they had the update for it. The update added the bass buttons and completely changed the way the app looked, sounded, and took away options you had with the old version. The old version was WAY better because it sounded like actual accordions and you could go from a C accordion to a D accordion. You also had the option to have it Wet or Dry tuned. Was it worth it then, YES!! Is it worth it now, NO!!! I think they should bring back the old version because it looks more like a Cajun accordion, sounds like one, and you have more options with it.

Buttons are too close together to play on a phone. Does sound like one but I'd invest two dollars towards the real thing
