  • App inconsistent opening articles and features

This app has been inconsistent since before I got my iPhone 12 Mini over two years ago, including on my SE before that. Some illustrations from today’s issue (Saturday, 11/03/23):

none of the articles on the front page (A1) which continue on a subsequent page opens the complete article for scrolling when tapped. Only the article text on page 1 appears. Tapping on the article follow-on text on the subsequent page only expands the page; it doesn’t open the text in a new window for scrolling/reading.
Today’s obit (A5) opens in a new window as it should. There are some days where none of the obits opens properly, especially the numerous ones on some Sundays; one can only magnify/expand the page.
Features in “Your Daily Break” (sect. C), such as Dear Abby, Hints from Heloise, Miss Manners and others through the week as well (“Ask Dr. Roach” following the weekday comics) don’t open in new windows (which they used to do); can only expand the page. Can open individual puzzles today, but some days not.
Comics: can open individual comics in a new window today, but other days only expand the page.
Home and Garden (sect C): can open the full article on C1, but NONE of the individual gardening articles on C6. This has happened before. Have never been able to open the “California Native Plant of the Week” box article in a new window; this really needs to be fixed.
That’s all I’ve found and can remember today.
Other than that, it’s ok. 🙄🫤
