Great looking game but....

I've only really played it for about 10 minutes and I think I'm done with it. It doesn't compel me to beat my distance/high score in a way that Tiny Wings does for example. I find collecting the photo's to fill out the little story is a good idea but it can be really frustrating trying to get them because the way you move your car around just isn't as controllable as I'd like it to be. I find that I don't want my car to be anywhere but right in the center of the screen and if I have to push it forward or back for some reason it can get frustrating (because you will accidentally bounce the car when you don't want to etc...).

Anyway, it's a very nice little game that at any other time is well worth the $2.99 but because app pricing is the way it is I would suggest you wait until it's .99c

A totally new take on the randomized platformer runner genre!

I love how, even though both "Evergreen Ride" and "Sunday Trip" feature randomized courses with the same basic gameplay, they're pretty unique beasts.

Evergreen Ride: It is all about getting the points! Your score is a combination of the distance you traveled (before running out of fuel or falling in a puddle), gizmos collected, and all of the things you did on your trip (bonus stages triggered, springs bounced on, pictures found, edges hung off, etc.).

Sunday Trip: This is all about completing the trip (a set length but still in a fairly randomized course) as quickly as possible. In this mode gizmos and stop watches will help you reduce the official final time of your trip. The sporadic turbo boosts icons can be used to give you a little extra momentum. Since this mode has no hazards you will always be able to finish your trip, it is just a matter of how efficiently you do so. I love how this game mode has you constantly weighing cruising the course as quickly as possible with going slightly off your ideal path to snag some extra boosts, stop watches, and gizmos.

So Fun

This game is so fun to play, the music is wonderful, the graphics are smooth and it is about as polished as you can get. 5 stars, a great game.

Bumpy Road gets a little bumpy

I was really looking forward to this but was a tiny bit let down. The music and art is superb and I have the theme tune stuck in my head but the game has two problems, when I go fast the framerate drops a little (3G) and two game modes just isn't enough. If Simogo sought those issues out I wouldn't hesitate to give it a 4 or even a 5 star rating.

Beautiful. Its the next Tiny Wings.

I have been reading many previews for this game for some time, but really was blown away by the art direction and easy but fun gameplay. To me, it's the next big indie hit, like tiny wings, but this has so much potential of being better. It has 2 different modes, plus a hidden story line. It's great. Buy it. :D

Cool

Prob one of the first in Canada to download this. Great physics and a good challenge makes this game suit a range of people from causal gamers to those who want to get a bit more from their games. I recommend it !

Wonderful art design, but where's the gameplay?

Style over substance prevails here. Gorgeous to look at and listen to, but ultimately it is a distance/high-score game with a "collect the photograph" feature which feels tacked on to try and give the game some sense of story. The controls are responsive, almost too responsive infact, however after an hour or so playing you become used to them. The extra mode, which is essentially an endless mode with no hazards, is seemingly just a showcase for the games visual and audio appeal, therefore doesn't add anything in terms of gameplay. If the developers can put as much passion into the gameplay aspect of their future games as they've put in with the aesthetics of Bumpy Road, they'll no doubt have a hit on their hands soon. Unfortunately I don't think Bumpy Road is that hit.
