This free app is very useful for anyone interested in the wildlife of Victoria. A similar app covering plants would also be nice.
Even if you don't live in Australia
this is wonderful. Great photos and information about the creatures of south Australia. Wish one of the U.S. museums would do a free field guide of North American animals...

Hands down the best field guide app I have seen. Clear, beautiful design. Great photography. Just the right amount of information. Audubon should take note and imitate.
Not what I expected.
I moved to a place were there is a lot of snakes and lizards, I wanted to make sure none of the ones I see around my house would be dangerous to my dog if he was in the back yard, or to me if I was taking a walk. But it turns out all the animals in this app are for Australia! But oh well still fun to look at :)

Victorian Museums field guide
An excellent app. Comprehensive but compact. Ideal as a field guide for Victorian fauna. Animal/bird sounds are clear. The app is easy to navigate and the images are really good.
Very nice reference to many of Australia's amazing creatures
Wonderful high-quality nature photographs, good information and some great sound clips for many species.
