Changes screen brightness, and only 4x zoom
The most irritating thing about this app is that every time I open it, the app turns up my screen brightness a LOT. Then, when I leave the app, I have to go into settings and turn it back down. This is on iPhone 5.
Also, the free version is limited to only 4x zoom. And you cannot adjust the brightness if the LED light. Instead, I prefer "Magnifying Glass with Light" by Falcon in Motion which goes to 5x, and allows LED brightness adjustment (and doesn't mess up your screen brightness.)Show lessBriceCenter.com

Great as a magnifier and I like the light option to make it even more clear to see micro particlesJeapsters
Not Much Good
At highest magnification, this makes objects look the same size as with the naked eye. So it does no good as a "telescope.
Unless you're looking for a camera app to let you zoom in for photos, I wouldn't bother.R0NlN

I downloaded and tried ALL the binocular and magnifying apps. This app is hands down the best one and does both up-close magnifying and binoculars, plus it takes better pics. Just go with this one.marlakc56

I recently began playing with it and am a low vision therapist so will put it to test more in the next few weeks. Worried about the clarity as I zoom in.Annettebab

It's a toy, people!
The other reviewers are silly. This is a fun toy, and it makes me giggle with pleasure. Of course the optical quality isn't super groovy. What do you expect? It's doing e best that can be done with the built-in camera lens.
Anyway, this is fun, cool, free, and if you don't like ads or nags, don't download free apps (especially when full versions cost just a lousy buck or two)!Show lessChowhoundus Selloutus
