Leave a Review THE BLADE News App
Opinion treated as News
This version of the app displays the top Opinion story as News in the News feed with absolutely no designation that the story is Opinion. This is inappropriate. No content today
The paper has an article on a re-design for the website. Who knew the improved experience meant a gray screen?Crashes every time
The app crashes every time it's open for more than a minute. I used to enjoy reading the poorly-written, biased articles that the Block family has been directing toward the masses for years, but their IT department has finally caught up with their reporters in terms of job skills.
You're better off reading truck stop bathroom stall walls for news than anything the Blade puts out in any format.Show lessToledo Blade app
This app freezes constantly and Obituary section rarely loads. I see all these same reviews and what do we hear in response? Crickets!!!
Either fix the problems, or get out of the app world.Freeze
I subscribe to the Blade at home, like to keep up with Toledo news when I travel. But this app is too aggravating to use, freezes constantly!
Please fix this problem.Hung up
The latest update freezes making it impossible to open articles, thus defeating the purpose of the app.Its freezing already
Since the last update, the app freezes every day as I scroll. I have to re-start it 3-4 times just to make it through every section. It did not do this before the previous "bug fixes". Love the Blade- wish it worked better.New version
The latest version is unstable, it stalls, locks up, blanks out, and is really useless. I quit getting the paper copy due to frustration & now the electronic version is junk. Try again.New version is a disaster
The new version that came out around the beginning of September 205 is a total disaster. The articles are arranged in an incomprehensible jigsaw puzzle on the screen and they jump around and get re-arranged as you scroll. You end up chasing the articles around the screen. It's kind of like a game to see if you can catch your article.
Beyond that, the nav bar on the left doesn't appear when you tap the nav icon in the upper left. You have to scroll down to get to the nav bar. And then you can't even scroll all the way to the last item.
This is apparently the first foray into mobile content design ever attempted by the company who created this mess. I would suggest going back to the previous version which was at least coherent.Show lessLike the previous version better
Don't like this new version. Don't want to see the same stories I've previously read all combined with today's news. Incorporating each day's news into its own tab would be a better way.
