Wi-Fi signal strength works.
Found a review that said this works well and gave setup directions. (Step 1)go into app settings and change the slider for “Wi-Fi scanner” to on. (Step 2) Done with setup. Went into the app and clicked “scan” and am seeing dBm values for all networks around me, refreshing every couple seconds. I don’t have any airport devices, so no idea what’s up with that angle.

Baffling order of processes
I only have one problem with this: why does it ask me to save the password I entered for an airport device before verifying that I got it correct? For all I know it's saved the wrong one! Other than that, the app does what I need it to.
SCAN feature is gone in ios15!!!
Only reason I had this app is I am a network specialist and I used it to scan all broadcasting SSID’s. this was the only app that could do it thanks to Apples super tight restrictions on the OS. Now this feature is gone and my iPhone is no longer a useful tool at work. Have to crack out the laptop to scan again. Thanks Apple! You da best!

Handy but outdated
It works ok but it can’t store its login password in the iCloud keychain. This is a pain. I end up logging in from my vintage MacBook. macOS 10.13 will store the password on iCloud but iOS 15 can’t read it.

I miss AirPorts. That was the best router on the market. Now the other options are just buggy and don’t work well. Imagine an AirPort with support to Wi-Fi 6?

I have been using the utility as a wi fi analyzer. Finally I found an iOS app that does the job! Very straightforward to set up and understand. Happy days.

I use this only for surveying wifi signal strength around the house. Useful for positioning your router and receiving devices. Gives signal strengh in dBm.
If you don’t see the feature, enable it in settings>air port utility>enable wifi scan.
