Fun game but needs work

First I would like to say the game is fun and it is a great way for my to practice my braille reading. It does have some annoying properties too.

1) there seems to be no way to turn off the music

2) some words are way out there IE: jihad

3) it only takes one word if the letters can make more than one word. Frustrating when you make a valid word and it does not count

Response from developer

Audio button added - thanks! The app tries to get the user to think of words other than perhaps the most common. Thanks for your feedback!

Racial slur

I downloaded this app to practice my braille. I was appalled when one of the words was a racial slur against Latinx. I emailed the developer in case it was a mistake.

His reply: “People see what they want to see. I'm not responsible for a tiny fraction of the population that wants to see something that was never intended.
There is no issue to rectify. Since I use the same database of words in other apps I'd suggest you never download another app of mine just to be safe.”

Even if I was wrong (which I wasn’t and proceeded to show him through multiple definitions from from online dictionaries) this was not an appropriate response.

I would give a negative rating if I could. This is not acceptable.

Response from developer

The app is being updated after verifing the public domain dictionary I was using had a number of words that shouldn't be included. There was never any intention to slur anyone - a rather absurd assumption. I will credit this user for bringing this to my attention - she's the only one of hundreds that have downloaded the app. Thanks!

Please fix this app

At first I really liked this game. Then, I kept loosing because I can’t figure out which of 2 or 3 valid words is the one the developer had in mind. For example. I spelled “sober.” This was wrong because the app wanted me to spell “robes.”

Response from developer

The app tries to get the user to think of words other than perhaps the most common. Something that might help is to play lower levels like 4-letter words and accummulate more hints. Thanks for your feedback!
