  • Good at first, now useless

Ever since the iOS 8 update, I can't push start and the formatting is wonky. Please fix!!
  • Needs fixed for iOS 8

I really enjoyed using this app until I updated to iOS 8. Since then, the app no longer lets me enter in information about the student, nor does it allow me to hit the start button to begin recording. Therefore, the app is useless until that is fixed. Hopefully this will be updated very soon!!
  • Percentages are off!

Please fix the percentages, they are off! This app is worthless if you don't have accurate data to report. Do not buy unless they fix! Upgrade please.
  • Handy, but the numbers don't add up

The SOTO is a neat little app that makes tracking of on-task behaviors a breeze. My biggest criticism is that the percentages don't consistently add up precisely. For example, a student who is passively engaged 30.8% of the intervals and academically engaged 0% of the intervals may end up with a total percentage of time on-task as 30.77%. What happened to the remaining .03%? It must be lost in the Cloud somewhere... Also, a section for anecdotal notes would be helpful. Pausing to go back and forth between SOTO and NOTES is awkward.
  • School Psycho

I have to say the ease of use and immediate graphing, the ability to observe a peer, and the color change when time to observe the peer are great. So much better than paper and pencil BOSS's. kind of expensive though. I also wish there was a way to add additional notes in the program after the observation.
  • Looks cool

    Hope to try it tomorrow!
  • Simple behavior observation software

This software measures on task and off task behavior just like the old BOSS, which is no longer available. It generates nice graphs and sends easily identifiable files to your computer. If you are looking to measure on-task/ off-task behavior with a periodic peer observation, this is the software for you.
  • School Psychologist

This is a great app for looking at academic engagement and off task behaviors. It provides quick objective data that's easy to understand for all audiences. I love that the data is stored on my iPhone and quickly generated on the spot. I've been looking for an affordable app like this one for a while. It does everything it promises. I'm looking forward to the update; I'm hoping that the behavioral categories can be customizable and/or that Teacher Directed Instruction can be included as well to quantify the instructional environment. All in all a very user-friendly and powerful app.
  • Social Worker

I really like this tool for observing, recording and reporting student "on-task" behaviors. This program generates percentages and graphs data in seconds following observation. I am able to share results of observation with homeroom teachers on the spot. It is the biggest time saving tool I have come across. I can E-mail results to myself and I am able to incorporate results into my evaluation reports and present data in easy to interpret graphs. This program is very user friendly and requires very little technical ease. I program has fast become one of my favorite assessment tools.
