Weather ap.
I have this ap and glad I have others (from channels 2, 5, and 8). First, the radar looks like a cartoon. But more important the map shows only what the PAST weather was and then it zooms to “now”. I am really more interested in where the bad weather is going and not the past. I really like Channel 6 forecasters and this ap is a disappointment and not worthy of the expert meteorologists.Show lesswont allow any bad reviews?
The app has some flaws!
This app is great when you need to see live streaming, unless of course you accidentally touch the screen and it goes right to a commercial; while they are giving live severe weather updates including tornado or high wind warnings. It is aggravating to have a commercial pop up when you are trying to see if your going to be getting potential damage or wiped off the map where you are. We all just love commercials; but fix the glitch that makes them pop up during live updates. Also you can’t delete tagged locations.Show lessAccurate A
Update ruins app
The new look of the app makes it nearly unusable. With the new layout and the ad at the bottom, the user has about one half-inch to read the forecast and scroll ahead to read future forecasts. Too much wasted space in the new design! And stop tracking me, the privacy disclosures are disturbing. Getting a new app for local weather!Show less30,000 points lost
News On Six Weather
I thought something was wrong with my phone when I look at my News on Six Tulsa Weather app which I do daily. It is absolutely horrible! It looks terrible. Very unappealing! I hate it. I go to another station app to see the weather now.RMcIntoshapple
Change it back!
The new weather app is horrible. It’s confusing and makes no sense. I don’t understand the daily forecast, and why they changed it to the confusing mess it is now. They show the temperature but no heat index on the front page. You have to tap the front page and it takes you to another page which shows you all the info you used to get just by opening the app, and the temperature is 4 or 5 degrees different than other apps. I used to use the channel 6 weather app exclusively but not anymore.Show lessCeeceecindy
It’s really good
It’s easy to use and I can put in peoples locations even if they’re not in Oklahoma and it’ll give me alerts for them. I love it.kalego_404
Decent app too many notification
Besides too many notifications, repeatedly, you may want to make it where I can delete an old location. I had to uninstall the app to remove a location.F@&* No!!!
Notifications on crack
I almost didn’t know that we have a heat advisory in effect and would have completely missed it if this app hadn’t sent me FOUR FREAKING NOTIFICATIONS IN A ROW. I don’t really NEED three and four notifications for every weather event.
Edited: The problem with excessive notifications is much improved. The radar function is pretty lame, but I rarely open the app, anyway, because it is so ridiculously saturated with ads that it’s hard to find the actual features.Show lessOld Man Dancing
Can’t delete locations
I love this app, but there is a bug in it when you try and delete locations. When I travel I will add a location to watch weather when I am there. When I am no longer there I want to delete it. I can’t do it! I have to delete the app and then bring it back from the cloud and then it takes out all locations.Show lessjeffreyw18
Warnings take too long to show up
I’ll get an alert from the Weather Channel app that there’s a tornado warning, then a few minutes- as many as five minutes- later, the same tornado warning will show up on this app and then I’ll get an alert for it. That’s unacceptable. I love KOTV for my weather coverage, but this app just isn’t good enough in the way that matters the most. Please, please fix it.
