  • Monetary fines; appropriation of photos.

In the Terms of Service, they literally claim the right to bill you for thousands of dollars if they think your profile doesn’t comply to their rules. They also claim the perpetual right to use your photos for ANYTHING at all — meaning they could use your images in advertisements, or even sell them to porn sites. (Scruff’s TOS clearly states that its claimed rights are limited to what’s needed to run the service; there’s no such limiting context in the MR X TOS.) Such overly-broad terms of service are a huuuuge red flag that you shouldn’t get involved with this app.

  • Mr. Fail...

The latest redesign is horrible. I have to login my credentials now every time, even after 5 mins of non use. The Global feed is now gone. I can only see those nearby, which is fine, but I enjoyed looking at others from farther away as well. Now I see the same old profiles time after time. Never anyone new.

Btw - before the Foto Feed was full of daily scammers from Africa pretending to be Americans or from wherever. All those young pretty bois who are ‘honest, trustworthy & looking for marriage’ are scams for money. Don’t fall for them.

  • Unauthorized charging

I have been charged for s premium subscription without knowing it. I have called and emailed several times without deny help. They are s scam.
  • Horrible interface

What is up with this app? You can’t even accurately view someone’s photos because when you touch it, it zooms you so far in that half of the subject is cut off.

Please make this app usable again!!
  • MISTER

I like all the added features -
being able to see local and global members, transmit photos, etc. Seems to combine most of the best features if the other gay social and dating apps. Would be nice to be able to speak with a live support person sometimes when you have a technical problem that is hard to describe accurately in an email...

  • MRX: The Anti-Social Network

How did they do it? I’m not sure how, but the redesign is even worse than the previous version. I thought it was already a stretch to claim it had social networking features. Now those features seem to be gone, but they still advertise them in the app description. The labeling of some members as “hot” is insulting to me, and not just because I know I’ll never be one of them. But, “hot” by what criteria? Who decides who is hot? It sure wasn’t me. Why promote some members in your “social” network over others with a label like that? If they’re hot then they’ll probably do fine without your promotion. And, all the guys I followed? Gone. The guys I’d liked and matched with? Gone. I load the local gallery and the guy next to me is 47 miles away and I have to search to find who is closer in whatever order they’ve now placed them. All my photos are now cropped so bizarrely that I’m not even in some of them because they no longer autofit to the screen. What a miserable mess this app is. It was problematic to begin with because it pulled everybody me from Daddyhunt into it, as well as into the separate but identical Daddyhunt app, so you have two different groups thrown together assuming they’re the same. Ugh. The idea of a gay social networking app is gold. Someone should actually do that and give us the features we need to connect with others based on interests in a meaningful way. Sorry, guys, this ain’t it, and it’s less so with the new design.

  • Useful for finding Older GUYS

If you’re sick of the Grindr Twinks who are mean to you cuz you’re older than 40, maybe it’s time to switch to DaddyHunt/ MisterX. I have found the men here to be very compassionate and completely available. Kindness runs in the hearts of older men who’ve been around the block, and who may no longer be Twinks but seasoned veterans in matters of the Heart. Do yourself a favor and get with a Daddy. You’ll open up a world of friendship and love.

  • It could be great if you let us use for free and after that to decide if to buy .

I like to old version. The new one it’s nice but it’s force me to pay in order to enjoy the app .
Everything is just for members who are paying.
  • Restrictions and less features!

I liked MrX at first for free which was less comparable to other free apps.

The added restrictions at first sad in light of the app became more buggy than ever. What happened to the mismatch on MrX? The people who check you out became invisible! The new version eliminated that. Cannot expand pics now. Getting more spam with unverified people and location? Filter for distance would help somewhat if it worked.

(Some people just cannot afford monthly fee.) and less likely now!

    Developer Response

Thanks for the feedback. Premium memberships does give added features including the ability to see who viewed you. While we hate to lose you, we understand if upgrading to premium isn't an option.
  • Changed for the worse

Buggy, which I expect they'll eventually fix (though same login problems with current version). But significantly less usable for non-paying members: can't sort by distance, can't see who has looked at your profile. Their latest update further narrowed what non-paying members can do. We'll see how their experiment of "how useless can we make this for non-paying members before we don't have enough members to make it worth paying for" plays out.
