not Miles Coverdale

how disappointing! it looks really, good, easy to use etc - but it turns out not to be the real BCP 1662 at all - the Psalter depart frm Coverdale all the time. It could have been brilliant - but is there a real BCP app out there somewhere???

Really nice

I suppose MyCofE is the app with which to compare this. That has the ability to refer to NRSV Bible (handy for St Paul, I find). In all other ways this is a clear winner, more comprehensive, better engineered, and a lovely Compline, not a compulsory modern effort. Many Thanks.

iPray BCP App

Deo gratias! This is a wonderful app for Anglicans who hold true to the BCP as the official prayer book of the Anglican Church. I love the scripture readings all lined up according to the Church Calendar, and that it is KJV. I am in communion with the Anglican Network in Canada. Thank you and God bless thee +

Beautifully put together

This is a beautiful app - I had a long despaired of finding a BCP app, yet here it is! I particularly like the way in which the appropriate service appears, depending on the time of day at which you open the app - for example, having just opened it at 21:00, I was delighted to find the page already open at Compline.

Brilliant

Well thought out app, smooth and easy to use. A real help with saying the daily offices, and the calendar is very useful too. It would be nice to see some of the other BCP material - the communion service, for example - included in future updates but would not hesitate to recommend as it is. Great job.

More useful

This comprehensive app makes it so much easier to practice the historic and conservative Anglican daily office!

The new update makes it handier in these ways:

1) split up the screens so there is less text to scroll down

2) allow screen to remain in last viewed place after turning it to landscape mode and back

3) fixed landscape view so it actually scrolls (need to use two finger swipe, which is a bit cumbersome)

But still hoping for some more user friendly changes in the next update, such as:

-a table of contents to access the whole BCP

Keep up the good work!

Now I can use the Book of Common Prayer!

I've always loved BCP, but all that page turning/finding the day's entries was distracting. Now I use it every day--this app lays out the day's readings and prayers without any effort, so I can focus on praying instead of the mechanics.

request for an iPad version

Thanks for this great application, if i have one request, it is that i would dearly like a native iPad version

Precious

I love it when reviewers say they have been looking for an app for years...really, have apps even been around that long?

This thing is too precious and anachronistic. This is simply trying to be cute by using old instead of best.

I am a '28 BCP guy...and there were a lot of good reasons for that revision of this option they used in this app, so why use this version when there are ones whose scripture lessons have you reading more widely through the bible.

There are simply better apps out their, this one isn't even iPad specific.

As an Anglican priest I can tell you this is not the app you want to be using, and why pay when better is free.

This just makes me happy!

As a cradle Episcopalian, this app just makes me happy! :)

The BCP is such an important part of my world, and to have such an easy-to-use version for my iPhone and iPad truly is a joy!

Many thanks to those who took the time to develop this app!
