Fun for hobbiests
I like this app a lot, use it frequently but it takes practice. I find something new in it daily. However I have some problems with the text feature. Disappears, hard to size.mjlosier

Don't waste your time
This app has a very limited selection of templates to make a comic strip out of. The templates you have to choose from, unless you don't want to spend the dragging box by box next to each other, are not clever. I have great Internet connection, and have never had a problem with apps glint hint or running slow until now. This is a poorly made app and would NOT RECOMMEND THIS APPShow lessDecodec
Good but not great
It's such a shame when something you want to work so badly falls short of the mark. Don't get me wrong, this is a good app and has the potential to be awesome...it's just that its not. On ipad 2 I have issues when trying to edit the text. It slows right down and spoils the whole experience. If anyone knows a way around this, I'd appreciate any advice?
I use to create lesson starters/ plenaries with images and space for students to write questions, comments, character thoughts or questions to provoke discussion. Students really enjoy this.

I'm always impressed by how useful this app is. Comics are a breeze, either by making them from photos or original art(using an iPad draw or paint program). The lettering fonts are varied and easy to use in creating just the right look. I use it to create photo comics of my kids, drawn comics for 24 hour comics day, and many education related purposes including attention grabbing worksheets, lessons, and charts. Being able to create on the iPad and then send the work to my other computer to continue working on is very convenient. The new templates are wonderful and huge time savers. Versatility as comics, newsletters, slides, and how to instruction sequence booklets, it's all inclusive and easy to use.Show lesssquidinferno

I have used the desk top version for a few years, the app is great for building a comic when you are out and about (if you need to).
We use the mobile version to record our holidays, the children love it.Mindmapper1
Good port
This iPad Comics life is almost as good as the desktop. Little was sacrificed in features, but it still lacks in portions for page sizes. None of the sizes available corresponds to a comic book format, which is weird coming from a comic book creation application.harrymfa
Wonderful App
This app is amazing and the company behind Comic Life has been excellent in terms of technical support. They responded quickly right before Christmas.
I have used this to make two 13 page comic book stories for a 5 year old and she and her family loved them!
Recommendations:
- More templates; I am running out of ones that fit with her adventures
- text and image orientation options; I have a wide picture that I should do sideways but I can't make the text rotate 45 degreesShow lesskelso007
Great fun!
I have used the very good Comic Life for Mac for years now & this iPad version like a simplified version of the desktop edition. Very easy to use, nice user interface. The only thing I would wish for is more templates please or at the least the ability to import my own backgrounds through iPhoto for mac (or PC equivalent). I would then definitely give 5 stars.
