  • BEST Teacher App

I have been using this app for many years, and I love it!! At the start of each school year, I enter all my classes and students and take student pics. I select “random order” and cover the top of the picture where student names are to quiz myself on their names. This helps me learn names quickly. I can also click “random order” and swipe through my students to randomly call on them during class discussions, games, and activities. Additionally, I use the grouping feature to put students into groups for stations, etc. I like that I can hold down the 3 lines and move students around between groups as needed. Then I can email myself a copy of the groups. I highly recommend this app to all my teacher friends!
    Suggestions:
    1) Please make it easier to enter class lists. I spend a lot of time at the start of each school year typing in first and last names…I teach high school Spanish and teach 150-180 students each year.
    2) I need an option to edit student info. After I’ve entered student names from my roster, sometimes I need to change their name to a preferred nickname. There is no option to edit. So I have to delete the student and re-enter their name. If I’ve already taken their picture, I have to retake their picture after deleting and re-adding.
    Thank you!!
  • Very simple to use.

I use the app the make random groups and to randomly choose a student. You have to shake your phone in order for it to pick a student. Very simple to use.
  • Shake?!

To pick a random student you must SHAKE your device. This is the only way! Might be ok with an iPhone, but not great for iPad users!!
