  • Best App for Note Taking

The app doesn't have many features but the writing is the smoothest among all the dozens of apps I have used so far? Better than one note, notes, etc.
  • Easy 5 stars

NICE WORK!!!!! I have had this app now for years and really do love it so I wanted to give it a review because it really does deserve it. Awesome app!!
  • Love!!!

I would give it extra stars if I could lock notes. Love the planner pages and the ease of using app!
  • Cannot restore

I purchased paper packs, and after something went wacky and everything was gone, I redownloaded and restored my iCloud backup but my paper packs just say "waiting". Some of my notes are gone due to it.
Edit: I have written to the developer about not being able to restore my in app purchases and have had no response, I am lowering my rating to one star and advising that another note app might be a better choice. At any rate, do NOT purchase anything in app unless you are okay with never restoring it. Mine have been "waiting" -- for the Apocalypse, I suppose

Edit: restore issues are fixed, which is great. But I cannot say that it was okay to ignore questions and concerns of users. If I had been given a response, I would have been chill. I understand that stuff is not always simple; as long as I knew they were in it, it would be fine.

But I am glad they are fixed anyway.

  • Jotter Pretty Darn Good

I am addicted to trying different ink note pads but keep going back to this one. It feels and looks like a regular piece of note paper. Writes clearly and I especially like the close up hand writing! Try it! you'll like it!
  • Cool app

This is a great app and has made me almost paperless. Only minor niggles would be it lags a little between screens and the wrist recognition needs tweaked as with ever other writing app I have tried.
  • Disappointed

Key functions are not working. Open in another app is not working at all and 'save to' gives a stupid error message. Tested on more than one device, very disappointed, if you want to take my money fix the issues. Gives me no confidence to look at any other apps in your line up!
  • Terrible since the update and no support options

I agree with one of the other reviewer about the crashing since the update. What the heck? No way to contact the developer. What's the deal? I paid for extras too so I am NOT happy. I hope they read reviews and update their app because this is crazy. I have to move my notes and use a different app too. It's a a shame that developers get to sell on the App Store and then just neglect those that try to support them. Bad business. I can't even articulate how upset I am about this. It's ridiculous.

  • Tops on iPhone!

Since Penultimate is not available on iPhone Jotter is great. Then under the Share button you have a choice of Open in App. Evernote and Skitch are there and the PDF that Jotter created and saved is synced to either one of those. Excellent.
  • Good, ...but could be great!

Good app in the fact that it syncs handwritten notes between devices. Love that! Make a grocery list on your iPad, and pick it up in the store on your iPhone. It would be more user friendly if you could see and edit the list in one place though. Currently, to edit a list on your iPhone, that was created on your iPad, requires you to copy it from your iCloud section of the app and it then saves it to your My Notes section of the app. Obviously, I want them to stay the same, across the board, all the time. The way it is, you end up with multiple lists and have to shuffle through and find the current list you actually care about. Also, the "undo" button looks too much like a "reply" button. I do like the app very much, just know it could be great!
