I didn't know any scales until this app. It is good for teaching some of the basics to soloing. He is able to go slow and explain it good enough to understand quickly.
My issue was he expects the viewer to know a few things, like a certain scale that I had not seen before. He does this in the first lesson video. My next issue is randomly in the lesson he goes off doing his own solo. I'm trying to follow his fingers trying to learn the scale, and then I loose it when he suddenly shoots off into a completely different solo.Show lessDBCooper2

Perhaps this particular app wasn't designed for fledglings who have just picked up the instrument for the first time (they should direct their attention to the Beginners Guitar Lessons app), but it is a terrific app for that middle-of-the-road types who really want to expand their knowledge and capabilities with then guitar.
I think even the most advanced players wouldn't mind at least brushing up on some of the lessons you'll find here. And to top it off, it's bloody FREE!Show lessKr3w
