I just started using today. So far so good, although there was one ppt that I could not open for some reason. Am able to convert files straight from DropBox which is nice. I'm using this app for use with med school lectures on the iPad.
  • Wonderful

I was looking for an app to convert pptx files that I get for class to PDF so I can view them in iBooks.

Although the converter does not completely make the PDF look like the original pptx, it does make it look much better than the rendering safari brings up.

Hasn't crashed on me yet, although one thing to note is you will need an Internet connection to convert the file, so large files might take quite awhile to convert if you are using mobile data, or wifi on dial up.

  • Super Easy

Great app so easy to use!
  • Nice app (needs internet connection)

For me, this app is the go-to one for converting to .pdf. The other app I use, PDF PROvider, does not convert .ppt files correctly. Office To PDF does this, does it quickly and does it well. It a very simple interface, and has accurately converted all the files I've thrown its way. I've quite pleased with it.

I will just reiterate what is in the app description, that this needs an internet connection to work. It sends the file, securely, to their server, converts it, and then it appears back on the iPad, where you can open it in another app.

Not a problem if you have internet access, but do not expect this to work without it.

In summary, I'll highly recommend this app.

  • Quick and Easy

Fast and easy for getting docs from your email to your iBooks. You can't edit them, but it's great if you just want to read work stuff on the go. Get it if you need something for that purpose.
  • Useful

I converted some lecture notes, and find it very helpful. But to get the five star, it is necessary to add some converting options before do the conversion, e.g. Page sizes, the number of pages converting into one page.
  • Office to doc

Works well for me. Creates great looking PDF files that I can export to dropbox or email. No problems. Handy app.
  • Promising, but does not handle spreadsheets w/ macros

I was excited to have an app that would create a PDF from various office files while on the road with my iPad. This app looked promising - took files from emial, open in this app and then use other PDF readers to view and annotate.

The problem with some Excel spreadsheets I tried is that cells with macros and some other functions show up as "#MACRO?" or "!! FAULTY TARGET !!" - essentially rendering the PDF unusable.

I also noticed shrink and grow gestures do not work, so it is difficult to examine the resulting output on detailed files.

    Needs some work.

  • Quite helpful

This app is extremely helpful when I need to store some office files from the email. But there are something that can be improved.
    1. Store the files in the app until I want to delete it.
Now the app can only store the most recent file, but sometimes I want to convert all the files and then export them to other apps.
    2. Sometimes the app will exit after converting. I use iPad 2.
    3. If the app can export to more than one app, that would be better.
    4. I wander if we can make the app work offline. If so, that's terrific!
    Thank you.
