Pretty useful
I have been using this for a while now. Best uses are tuning, finding alternate chord fingerings, and probably the metronome (which I should use more).
I would LOVE to be able to tap a string and hear the single fretted note. I might even pay for that ability but I sure wont pay for different skins.
I'm currently uninterested in alternate tunings, which cost extra, but it would probably be worth it for others.
Some of the tools are interesting, like seeing the intervals on a scale. Might be useful someday.
Overall, the free version is pretty nice. Paid versions don't yet have much appeal.

Brilliant - has bugs to work out though
I wrote a lengthy review of the Mandolin Companion app, and I'm happy to see new tunings and such for the Uke Companion.
Problem though: ever since the update, every 9th chord for every note has disappeared. Crazy! I should probably update to ios6.0 soon though... Regardless, fantastic app.

Great app
This app is easy to work with. A beginner will find this so good and even an experience player can find some super info on this app.
Nicely designed, fun way to learn/lookup chords and scales
Now that the latest update has fixed the previous startup issues with iOS 6, this is a nicely designed app that makes it easy to find and play around with chords and scales up and down the ukulele neck.
The only negative is that skins and alternate tunings should be included in the price (skins at the very least), but it's certainly y the developer's right to try to make as much money as possible.

No sound
Worked fine until update - now no sound at all!
Also irritating pop up 'upgrade to newer version' erm except there is no newer version?!

Won't start on iPhone 4 or 5, just locks up on Infinaut logo. Used to be great
Good little app
For a free app this is very good. This app saves a lot of time by showing chords and what they sound like rather than looking them up in a book.
Alt tunings
I don't even know what to do with all these alt tunings and all the possible chords...but I like having them :)

I would've rated this 5 stars, but recently it hasn't been displaying the finger positions for the chords :/ other than that, great uke app!!
No sound
Could not get any sound to tune up, metronome or strum chords. Only useful for knowing chord shapes and scales.
