  • Hmmm

I have tried and tried to use this software, and their other offerings. They (all three) crashed regularly. At the same point of trying to import a picture. They’re all very similar apps with the same functionality and the same problems.

It’s a shame and I feel a little short changed that they’re almost the same app with a different name. Lesson learned....

  • I updated to Catalina because of this app

    UPDATE 2/12/21:
I've been using touchappcreator a lot recently. really useful for creating interactive documentation.

There a is a theme creator no in touch appcreator, so creating different styles is now far easier.

The "tap below to start editing" is still there.

One real big annoyance (and a star was removed because of this) If you are working with a table and have like 100 rows, if you edit a cell in the 100th row, then save the cell's contents, it scrolls to the top of the table. It's really annoying to have to scroll down constantly to the last row just to edit the next cell in that row.

    ORGINAL REVIEW:
I've been using this application on iPhone & iPad for a few years now to create small temporary websites. I've also created weather webapps, refernce sites, fundraising sites & air bnb "home" sites to provide visitors with information when they login into the wifi (captive network).

When I foudn out that it was Catalina only & higher, I had to update to get the app.

If you are an educator or teacher, or if you create tutorials or even documentation, this app is a great way to get started.

Just a couple of things I'd really like to see.
    1) Some text says "tap to edit" instead of "click to edit"
    2) The ability to customize the color of the theme. Right now there are only a few basic verions: blue, black, yellow, gray & white. There are tools out there, like Reboo that can help with this, but it would be nice if it was built-in.
    3) SEO on this platform isn't great. Web pages when expoerted are labeld as page-1.html, etc. If you make changes and generate the site again, those pages can change numbers. It would be nice if upon export it would use the page, as name of the page export. this way it keeps the page URI the same when you go to export each time.

Ultimately, if you are big into SEO, this may cause some headaches for you. Otherwise this app in a no-brainer to get.

  • Med Kay

This app continues to be the best of its kind. Just one feature request: can you add nesting to ordering? For eg one could start with (1), (2), (3), but then add to any of them (a), (b), (c) etc, and or (i), (ii), (iii), etc.
  • Excellent App for creating quick reference sites

I use this app to create temp sites for customized websites I develop, simple & effective. I've also created a handful of reference websites that I’ve uploaded to the net. Creating the sites is very simple. As long as you have a web host with FTP access, you are good to go. Previously this app worked with Google Drive & Dropbox, but recent changes to each’s infrastructure has now made that impossible. The only way to really upload is the FTP route. You can also create a Zip file und upload via a file amnager on your web host. If you don’t know what a webhost is, look at bluehost or HostGator for affortable options.

  • Awesome app

Awesome app and can you do a MacBook app version
  • Crashes

Every time I try to add a picture it crashes! It's very annoying! 😡
  • Top app

This is a brilliant app. Tech support is excellent too.
  • More Colour Themes

Please add more colour themes to allow more variety in what the different parts of an app look like.
  • Not sure....

TouchAppCreator...not sure what's going on. It will upload to Dropbox but your visitors can't get to your web app unless you give them the password. Upload to ftp doesn't work. Upload to Google Sites (sounds terrific) and access doesn't work. No developer videos even though there is a link. TouchAppviewer is great but I was hoping to create sites for my students so they can access through a browser. It's not really broken but it needs more.

  • Outstanding Tool

An absolutely superb app which enables users to create content-heavy information apps with no programming at all - although the ability to use html if you like means even more functionality if you know how. Feature rich and fairly easy to use, it could possibly benefit from a better user guide, although I'm enjoying discovering how to use its tools. And what tools: icon creator, graphics editor, qr generator, drawing tool, sound recorder, quiz maker, dictionary and more. And all this alongside the basic function of creating informative content by means of text, markup, html, pdf, keynote, ppt, pages, epub, video etc. I'm a little bit in awe of how much the devs have crammed in for the price.

Indeed I've tested out a number of so-called app builders on the App Store and this is the only one that lives up to its description. The only slight negative is the design options. You get the choice of just five very similar themes and (as far as I can tell) no option to customise. That said, it is still well worth five stars and, although lack of design options means it won't be suitable for every project, I'm still going to enjoy using it for some!
