Description of MyCocktailBook

My Cocktail Book is an app created by London based Mixologist and Bar Consultant: Gavin Forbes. It was created with bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts in mind and we hope you enjoy it. The app is designed to help you organize and remember the various cocktails you create and discover by providing a secure way for you to store and backup your recipes. Gone are the days of scribbled down recipes on pieces of till roll which inevitably end up as mulch in your washing machine. We have tried to make it easy to share your drinks with friends (and us) by including email sharing and posting to Facebook so you can show your drinks to all your friends! Take a photo; add information including glassware, ice, ingredients, method and garnish; and organize those drinks by category. Those categories are completely up to you. We use them to organize our own drinks, classic drinks, friends drinks and to create menus at places we work or have worked. We have included some of our own signature drinks, our colleagues drinks and a selection of classics. We have used our preferred recipes but we actively encourage you to change them as you please. That is the beauty of My Cocktail Book! Over time we will be adding new cocktail recipes directly to the app, which will be available for every user to import for free. If you want us to add one of your signature drinks, email your recipe using the share function to info@mycocktailbook.com. Have fun! - Over 350 drinks included - Edit drinks to your preferred style - Add your own drinks - Delete the ones you don't want - Print drink details - Share your drinks with friends - Sort and filter drinks into different categories - Backup your drink collection - All in this easy to use app

  • Crashed and lost data

I spent a considerable amount of time entering cocktails until the app crashed. When I reopened it, my cocktails were gone. I think this app has been dipping into the well drinks.

    Developer Response

Hello Peter, I’m very sorry to hear that the app crashed and you lost your drink recipes. That’s unusual with the new updated version of MyCocktailBook. I’ve spent countless hours adding new recipes to my app, but luckily it’s never crashed on me. Could you please let me know what model of iPhone / or iPad you are using and when you installed the application? I always appreciate any positive or negative feedback from users in order to make improvements on future updates. My aim was always to help other drink enthusiasts by giving them an application to store their own recipes, so thank you for your feedback and I will do everything I can to follow up and make sure any future improvement are user friendly and reliable. Kind regards, Gavin
