  • Crashes on photo load

App works fine but crashes every time I try to load a pic in the background. I've also had random crashes when trying to save. However, it is a fun app and would be a five star if the crashes were dealt with. My son loves it and the included art is plentiful. An update hopefully will fix the crashing and I would suggest adding more ink patterns as there seems to be a limited number of them.

  • Awful.

With an iPad 2, I am generally immune from crashes, and have always felt bad for people who experience them on other devices. I now know how they feel. This app crashes every minute or so. Import a photo, crash. Save, crash. Select a tool, crash. I have yet to complete even a simple monster. This app is half baked and raw, and is not fit for public consumption. Caution. Prepare to be extremely frustrated!

  • More fun than I imagined

Touch the drop of ink and a fuzzy shape appears. Add eyes, mouth, more ink drops and other elements to create a very cute monster. I loved placing the monster into other saved photos. He became a member of the family. The program ran fast and easily on my iPad 1. It crashed a few times, especially when accessing one of my large photo libraries, but the monsters are easy to make and adorable. After a few creations, the ink drops seemed to repeat themselves. I had hoped the pressure of my finger might have caused an infinite variation, but it looks like they co e from a set of predesigned drops. Its all a lot of fun, though. I spent a whole evening making these adorable creatures -- all easy and quick.

  • Creative fun on the go!

This is such a fun little app, very simple to use yet it has lots of features. You can easily make a monster as simple or as complicated as you want, and the pre-made piece are a great addition to any drawing.
  • Super crazy awesome

I upload monsters to Facebook, message them to my husband for fun, and take pics of them with my dog. I LOVE this app!!! It does crash from time to time, but doesn't bother me -- making a monster doesn't take long and, with this artwork, it's really hard to go wrong.
  • Love this app

Every night my son and I make a monster and take a picture of him with the monster.

A few things keep this from being perfect:
    - if I save a monster, then take a picture with a monster, the try to save again, the app will frequently crash during that process.
-the ability to resize & reposition the whole monster would make staging photos great. The three-finger swipe then resize doesn't really do what I would expect.
-saving the monster should ignore resizing handles. I saved one the other night and it had the big circle of arrows right in the middle of the photo!

    And one feature request:
Save the monsters for later editing! Or at least save the last monster you had open. I'd love for the app to open up right to where I left off.

Like I said, I love, love, love this app. It's so much fun and I keep showing it to people. Just needs a touch more polish. Thanks so much!

  • Spectacular!

Just when ypu thought the monsters couldn't get any better, Stefan G. Bucher has done it again. A fantastic app! We're addicted beyond belief. Everyone should have this! Everyone!
  • Just a fun fun FUN app!

A phenomenally FUN app! The unpredictability of the ink blot is great, wonderful diversity of the various monster parts, and no limit on how creative you can get. In the next revision, can you add a 'Bring my monster to life' button?

    Great job!
  • I can't stop making monsters!

I have been a fan of Stefan Bucher's monsters for a long time so I was excited to try out this app. I was immediately addicted to making monsters. You can understand why he would want to make a new one every day. It's so much fun! You start making your monster just like Stefan does, with a spray of ink. Then, you can either add pre-made features that Stefan has designed in his signature, quirky style (crazy eyes, long bird legs with high-heeled shoes, goofy grins) or you can draw your own. And you can use your own photos to create monsters, too. Once you start making these monsters though, you just can't stop! Oh, and I now have the coolest, custom monster as my iPad home screen. So awesome.

  • So addictive!

This app is so. much. fun. I can't stop inserting ink monsters into my photos. The options are limitless and hilarious and sweet. You can use pre-made ink monsters, or create a new one from a zillion different options for eyes, mouths, and limbs. You can use them with photos you've already taken or on the spot and since you can change the monsters size and placement in the photo, the effect can be pretty magical. Yesterday there was a monster on my pancakes. The day before one ate my ex-boyfriend. Both kids and adults will love this.
