  • Excellent Small Weather App

This app is excellent! A huge Thank You to the developer for maintaining this app over the years. If you’re a visual person like me, the graphs are indispensable (especially dew-point), and I love that the source is straight from the NWS. The app is small but mighty, and doesn’t rely on gimmicks. 11/10 I use it all year long!

  • This Is Really Nice!!

Had the AccuWeather App for quite a few years, (even endured their money grab barraging me with advertising to purchase their monthly subscription), but this WX App is much better!

    Love it!

    Don’t change it!
  • Informative and Reliable

There are other apps out there with more funding and a slicker UI, but this one consistently delivers the best information.
  • Wx for iPhone Works Great!

As a long time Dark Sky user I began looking for a new weather app when I heard Dark Sky was being shut down. I tried many weather apps and rejected them all due to inaccurate weather predictions, monthly subscriptions, poor app layout, etc. I then found Wx and it is one of the best apps I have ever purchased. Wx is nicely laid out without being cluttered, provides accurate weather data for my area, and is quick to load while being easy on battery life. My thanks to the developer for a reasonably priced app that is well laid out and works great. Job well done!

  • Best weather app - ever

WX is the best weather app of all time. I’ve seen dozens of apps come and go over the years and I always return to the first app I installed on my iPod all those years age: WX. Always works, easy to use, and never a request to pay for updates.
(I am hoping the developer releases an update to support the new NWS radar format. I’d gladly pay 4.99 just for that)

  • Great, want to see a couple more easy features too!

It’s great that you can add custom map links, as this allows me to access ‘latest’ images for a lot of different less mainstream maps like GMU, SSEC, or NCAR upper air maps.

However, we can only link jpegs, and it would be amazing to add functionality for animated GIFs and PDFs as well, which would open up a lot of additional options for providers that only use those formats, like many of the NOAA products like GOES, and others use. Right now when I try to use an animated GIF or PDF it just says “download error.”

Nonetheless, great app, customizability is an awesome feature that the other apps don’t provide.

  • 13.1 Not able to add locations 🤨

    Yep

    Developer Response

Scroll to the bottom of the location list and tap "add location", then the app will walk you through a few questions to setup data sources. Not too complicated.
  • packed w/ great info but hasn’t been updated.

I love weather apps that decide to get their info directly from the source (NWS).

Great app for any weather enthusiast but minus a few stars because it appears as though it has been abandoned. Would love to see an update for larger screens.

    Developer Response

Two updates in 2019, one update in 2020, one update in 2021. Definitely not abandoned.
  • CELSIUS

    Needs a Celsius option.
  • Not bad

I like the flow of the prof, but it seems you cannot use complex urls, or possibly just https. Please include that.

    Thanks
