iPhone and iPod touch users can draw immediately with a finger when opening a drawing canvas. No need to toggle from Pencil to Finger input. Pencil drawing remains the default setting for iPad users.
We also fixed a bug that caused the Draw tab to put up an alert if the device was offline.
It should go without saying that no manga characters were harmed in the making of this app.

We've given the app a full-color manga makeover. The drawing canvas now features a professional-quality digital drawing toolbox, including:
• An assortment of multi-color pens, pencils, and felt-tip type markers.
• Other useful tools, including a ruler, eraser, and lasso.
• Support for original and second-generation Apple Pencil on iPad
• A gallery where previous drawing canvases and works-in-progress can be accessed.
• The ability to share drawings via Messages and social media, plus save them to your device's Photo Library.
We've also improved the navigation, tweaked some settings, and added a few more spoonfuls of Manga University magic to make drawing easier than ever.
And as usual, we made sure that no manga characters were harmed in the making of this app.

- Tutorial images have been reimagined and redrawn by one of our incredibly talented Japanese manga artists to look great on all screen sizes.
- The Manga University books catalog has been expanded to include more than two dozen titles, all of which are up for grabs on iBooks.
The Campus Blog now features interviews with such manga superstars as Ikue Otani (the voice of Pikachu), "One Piece" producer Shinji Shimizu, and many more.
The Video Gallery has been supercharged with several How to Draw Manga lessons starring "Manga Moods" creator Mosoko Miyatsuki.
