Still unimpressive formatting, app slow
It’s been three years, and the app still only supports bold, italic, and underline formatting. As a CS instructor I need to use the web interface to do monospace text and paragraphs, which is quite common.
In addition, when selecting a question there’s an annoying two-to-ten second delay before anything but the first half-line of each post or response is displayed.
The text entry box gets confused if you switch out of the app and back to copy some text, or if the keyboard is temporarily dismissed, such that the cursor location is under the on-screen keyboard.

Usable, nice app considering it’s free
I’m a student and I usually don’t use Piazza mobile. Part of the reason is the interface was very ugly, navigation is very confusing. Recently piazza updated their mobile app and UI looks slightly better. They still need major changes for their UI designed.

Not helpful for Instructors
I see indication of new messages on app icon but can’t see or interact w/ these messages from inside app. Without reliable functionality, this app is useless for me and is leading to me leaving piazza as a tool.

I’m a professor- I find myself having to open Piazza in my browser instead of this app in order to get all the functionality that I’d like.
I suppose if all you wanted was to read posts on Piazza, this app would be ok. But even basic things like finding unread posts is much easier on the browser of my iPad than this app
