Pretty disappointed
I had to follow up with them at just about every stage of the process to get the video. It was almost a year after our wedding before we got the final video back. There was a step I missed, and they claimed they sent follow up and reminder emails, but I scoured through my inbox and spam folders and they only ever sent 1 email and never followed up. You have to do a lot of the editing yourself, choosing the clips and photos to be used, what order they’ll be used in, where the video should start/end etc. Their online editing tool isn’t great. I feel like I could have made a very similar quality video myself in ShotCut in the amount of time I spent working on this. They didn’t even use the recorded audio from the sound recorder they sent which had better quality of the ceremony. For clips that were taken from different angles of our first dance, I figured they would use the best quality audio, but they just let the audio quality vary as the shot changed which sounds weird. I don’t feel like they really did anything beyond the work I did in their editor. I guess the main thing you’re paying for is the ability to have people video things on their phones and upload it, so if you go in expecting that and expecting to do a lot of the work yourself, then you’ll be satisfied. I don’t feel like that was clear going in, so I wish I’d just done it myself.
