  • Could Use Refining

Works, but somewhat clunky and not fully featured. I don’t judge it to be up to Apple’s usual standards for Apps in the App Store. Where to start…? 1.)The home screen doesn’t replicate the web catalog in that featured new items aren’t shown. 2.)Original item book jackets visible in catalog are frequently represented by a book icon instead of original. 3.) Search by title seems to a keyword search in most cases. 4.) Using the “Clear” button to clear the search results list returns a blank screen with no search field.

  • Not good on gen 1

Great interface for your library, but it doesn't work well on older iPads.
  • It's Ok

It's ok, but there is some discontinuity between the iOS interface and the OPAC interface. This could be confusing to patrons. Also, when you type in a search for a keyword, the user must press "Return" on the keypad to submit the search. This will be especially confusing for school libraries where students search on iOS devices. Once the results are returned, the branch and location does not show. LibraryWorld admins that use the "Branch" and "Location" tags to denote sections within their library will find that frustrating.

Adding items to the clipboard is easy. Once you get items on the clipboard, you can't do anything but look at the list. It would be nice to have an option to export the list to an Airport enabled printer.

I think it's a great first draft, but I would like to see some improvements. Once improvements are made, I would like to see the iOS interface influence the OPAC interface.

One more thing… wouldn't it be cool if the iPhone/iPad/iPod camera could take a pic of the barcode and LibraryWorld would display the items information? Other apps can do this.
