I set up the number of problems as 50 but it never came out right amount, sometimes shows 9 problems, sometimes shows15 problems.

Mostly disappointing
I am surprised to see many positive reviews for this app. I found it be mostly disappointing. In particular there is a bug where certain numbers are strongly favored, usually it is zero or one. Therefore your child will be answering 0 + 0, 7 + 0, 3 + 0, etc. The "bottom addens" is almost always 0 or 1. You can specify number ranges in the settings menu, but that results in the same problem of strongly favoring a specific number with little change from one "card" to the next. The end result is the child is bored and not challenged. Their algorithm for random number generation is probably broken.

Not very good
This app is not user friendly. Can not get it to reset and it does not do what you would like when choosing different settings.

This is a amazing tool for teaching kids of the 21st century. I love math.
Good
Easy to use, but it doesn't shuffle the different number combination too much. My first grader was working on 25 subtraction problems. Unfortunately, they were mostly subtraction of one, or subtraction of the same number. I changed the top and bottom numbers to 20 and expected it to be a little more challenging, but it wasn't. I wanted to see more subtraction facts that were utilizing the double and double +1 facts (14-7, 18-9, 13-6 exc...)

Great practice!
My first grader is working on math facts and the timed quizzes that you can specify which numbers to use is perfect. She should pass her threes tomorrow. Thank you!
Simple and awesome!
Simple, straight-forward, and does exactly what it's supposed to do. Our six year daughter was having troubles with her first grade math, and this little app helped IMMENSELY. The ability to choose the numbers to be added or subtracted is awesome. She scored 100% on her second try (in school)... Up from 60% a couple days earlier. Way more than I could have hoped for. I can't thank you enough for making it. She was beaming.
I'd like to see the ability to set my own custom time limit, with a gentle chime as the last 10 seconds or so wind down, as that's the format in her classroom.
I would give this 5 stars if it had a bit more spit and polish to the graphics, and had a bit more thought put into the visual feedback. Functionally, it's perfect... but this company would do well to hire a game artist- however, this is irrelevant to what the app does. My kid doesn't care.
