Not reliable enough for stats
I only use the app for tabletop football games using Paydirt! and Bowl Bound games. What I like about this app is the ability to track team only stats, being that these games are not player driven but team driven gameplay. This app does a good job of tracking the field of play, but doesn't have enough "checks & balances" to keep the game clock straight. Each play must be clock edited, but if you make a mistake, plays will compound on top of each other. When reviewing the play by play, many errors can be found that don't make sense, invalidating the recorded stats.Show lessJETBatt
Alternate Uniforms and Update
Love this app. Great to use for football. Can you make an update so there can be alternate uniforms? That would be awesome, being able to use new uniforms. Also, with the latest update, there have been glitches involving downing the ball after a punt and fair catches, so if you can fix that, that would be great.Show lessIscore hockey
Great App
I love the iScore apps - the football app is the most recent purchase after having bought the baseball (superb!) and basketball (likewise!) apps. I found there was a bit more of a learning curve with this app, as football can be rather complex in real life, and you've got to know how to work the app. I got the hang of it after practicing for an hour or so in a fake game using fake teams I created. I would strongly recommend you do the same before trying to score a live game - get the basics of the app down in the first part of your fake game, then conjure up every crazy football scenario you can dream of to enhance your knowledge of how to work it. Crap
Do not purchase this app. It is not worth it. You will be wasting your time. It takes forever to enter teams and players, then it crashes. There are better apps to choose from. Don't make the same mistake as I did.Zulu1001
The best football stats program on the market....
I have coached football for 24 years and this program is a life savor. On Friday nights, my coaching responsibility is to record the stats of the game. In years past I walked the sidelines adding and subtracting numbers only to find out afterwards I messed up. I would spend 2-3 hours after the game figuring out stats and reporting our game to the media.
This program is fast and easy to operate. People would ask how many yards did we have tonight, who led us in tackles, how many yards was that touchdown... My response was haven't figured it out yet. Now I hand the iPad to the head coach while he is being interviewed and he answers off all questions with halftime and end of game stats. He could also give yearly stats if he wanted too.
Two years ago, we played in the state championship and we had to summit our yearly totals to the press on Monday morning. It took me 10+ hours to go through and gather this information from15 game sheets.. I can email individual games or yearly totals in 5 seconds.
Our players love the player stat sheets... It has their picture and name right on the report.
Coaches we run the spread no huddle offense and average snapping the ball every 8 seconds and I'm ready 99% of the time. Stat guys keep a spotter for the first few games live.
This app has the best tech support you could ask for. Game 6 was a conference game and I forgot to check it. I email support and 3 minutes later it was fix. Game 8 I was going through game film to check my stats and found I put in the wrong player. Tech support walked me through it. Email them they will email back.
Last Friday night was the first Friday night I was able to go out to eat with everyone else because my stats were complete. By the time our players lined up to shake hands at the 50... I had email the radio station, 3 newspapers, and a tv station.Show lessCoach Sellers
