Nice idea but crashes on iPhone 3GS when trying the tours.
A real insider's guide.
Excellent guide that covers areas the 'big boys' leave out. Gives you a real feel for the city's history.

Had a great using this app walking through the new town.Love the question bit & the chance to add a photo.

As someone who thinks they know this amazing city pretty well, was very pleasantly surprised by some of the details about places i'm already familiar with and quite excited by the prospect of being able to explore the city with fresh eyes to discover the stuff I never knew existed!
A visitor to Edinburgh using this app, will learn as much if not more about the city than from any tourist guide, written or live that I've yet come across.
Not tried it out live in the area, but would be great if has augmented capability, though not obvious that it does.

Ok for free, better apps for Edinburgh if you pay.
The audio feature doesn't work on any of the sites and it is missing from some of them altogether.
There is no feature to explore or search for individual sites, they are all "hidden" in the tours thselves.
Information is very basic and a little short. Very fact based/heavy.
On the plus it is simple to use and I like the add a photo feature.
