Good app

Nice maps

Very well planned maps of Tokyo and surrounding cities, as well as transit. All other aspects of the guide seem very helpful.

I love this fricking app!

This is great for my Japanese lessons I love it so much it gives me so much good information about Tokyo and Japan.

Useless

Can I please receive a refund. This app is useless.

Response from developer

Hello, Thank you for reaching out, we are very sorry for the inconvenience. All refund are process by Apple, please follow the next instructions: *Launch App Store. *Click on App Store. *Login to your iTunes account, if you're already logged in click on your email in the upper right corner of App Store. *Click on “Purchase History” *Select the app that you want a refund for. *Click on “Report a Problem” Thank you

Free to download, but that’s about all.

Gives you some suggestions for itineraries, but click on anything and you’re asked to pay.

Response from developer

Thank you very much and we are sorry the hear that. It is only 1 payment to unlock the content. The reason behind this is for travelers to be able to enjoy everything in an offline mode without paying for roaming charges while they travel. Even being able to use geolocalization capabilities such as GPS or Augmented Reality without being connected to your cell phone provider. We hope you understand and if you have any other question, please do not hesitate to get back to us. Thank you.

App doesn't do ANYTHING until you pay

Why not just make it a pay app to start?!? You just end up pissing customers off, that will never buy now.

Junk

The military itineraries have useless info not even in Tokyo. The maps are worthless images you can find in a Google search. Stay away!

GPS doesn't work

I'm in Tokyo and the GPS feature doesn't work. So it is basically an offline map of which I already have a free version.

Better than expected

There were no reviews for this app when I bought it. I took the plunge anyway since everything else looked like junk in the app store.

The offline map is truly offline (sort of). The map is fast, responsive and accurate. The only thing that caught me off guard is that you must have airplane mode off for the gps to work correctly. I really liked knowing what direction I was traveling. I also like the quick switching to the much more readable metro map. Wish I bought it on my first couple days in Tokyo. It's been an invaluable tool so far.

There are some things that could use improving. The info gets a bit crowded unless you zoom in and the UI isn't the most intuitive but since there are only a few functions the learning curve is low.

I highly recommend this app for anyone new to the Tokyo area. It's way better than pulling out folded maps and you can confidently roam the urban maze.

Not great.

It is what it says - a metro and city map. Limited detail with streets and overlays make it only marginally useful. One plus is that place names are written in Kanji as well as English. OK for on-the-spot reference, but don't rely solely on this app.
