Reviews of Lowell Sun e

  • No users controls in app

Why can’t I go back and look at yesterday’s newspaper? There are no visible or hidden app controls that allow me to access the content I’ve paid for. The app also frequently get stuck on an issue and doesn’t refresh.

This developer also did the Boston Globe app and that works fine.

Not sure why Lowell Sun is allowing such a bad user experience?
  • Doesn’t remember login info & no way to manually refresh to newest issue

This app deletes your login credentials so you have to sign in again no less than once per month. As an autopay subscriber to newspaper, this is an extremely annoying action by the developer. What is the point of this other than making the app an unpleasant experience for subscribers?

Worse though, is that there is no manual control to refresh the app to update to the most recent issue. As I’m writing this review, the app is currently stuck on yesterday’s issue of the newspaper so I am not getting the subscription I paid for. This happens at least once per week.
