So Far So Good
I haven't experienced any download or freezing issues. No one reports what device they are using. I am using iPhone 4S with Verizon.
Love that I get to choose news agencies, topics, and subtropics. News updates continually and that is what I am looking for.

Likes to Crash
I actually like the app, it's different. However, in the last 30 minutes, it has crashed 5 times and I'm not doing anything except surfing the news which is what's it's for. I hope you fix the crashes and I like you offer Newsvine in the app.akampfer
Good when it works
A good app when it functions properly but I've been having problems when my reading is interrupted by the app crashing or by error messages about feeds being missing, even though I'm currently reading the feed. If the problems are sorted out, it might be a consistently very good app, but at the moment, it's barely useable.Show lessScott Merewether Rankin
Good news aggregator
I think this app does a good job. Room for improvement - better duplicate removal, better ability to share with friends. But for free, it rocks. I don't understand the 2-star average rating, it's better than that.DaveO1969
Need improvement
I should say I do like this because this an one in all app, while the question is, the notification for economist is quite new but when I run the app, all the news is days old. I can't even find the story showing in the notificationMotuum
Potentially a great app but....
This app accesses so many useful feeds, you would get updates on just about anything you're interested in and even content that is normally paid comes free! However, it's still clearly embryonic, so its got a lot of issues e.g: crashes all the time (though updates have improved this but not solved it). Also, the most annoying feature is that it alerts you to virtually every innocuous news item in the feed. This can because unbearably distracting if you subscribe to more than one or two feeds. You should be able to opt out of the alerts but doesn't appear possible! This alone is a deal-breaker! Basically, they need to work really hard on this app to get it right; then it might even be worth paying for let alone getting it free but for now, I've had to delete it! Plan to reinstall at some point though in the hope they've fixed their teething problems!Show lessThe Passionate Preacher
Finally one for all
I am new to apple products and the world of apps and was about to give up on trying to read the news because every paper I wanted to read wanted a subscription fee. Not with this app. It has the biggest names in the newspaper industry and allows you to choose what you want to read. Pick the sports section from MSNBC, the World news from CNN, Top Stories from NYtimes, Travel from LA Times, entertainment from E! all for free all to one location. Top notch app very easy to navigate and does what it says it does. Highly recommend.Show lesswhispers8021

An excellent app but impossible to use ....crashes every 10 seconds...Will hold on to it for a while to see if it gets fixed, if not afraid it will have to go !!!!!!!......NNow have downloaded an update to fix crashing but still does occasionally. There is now a "boing" every time apiece of news comes in ...I have tried to turn the sound off in "settings" but to no avail. Have deleted it ....Pity it's a good piece of kit !!!!!Show lessJimeeee72
A good app in concept, but it crashes frequently.
I couldn't even get through adding all the feeds I wanted without it crashing a dozen times or so, sometimes as soon as I opened it up. A good selection of news feeds from around the world plus the ability to add custom feeds makes me want to use this app, but they need to fix the horrendous stability issues first.Show lessWooberg

Keeps crashing...impossible to read..if someone out there is reading this...please fix..with an update...then a +review would br forthcoming!!.....did update today and it's still crashing...I hope you can fix this as the concept is fantastic....will provide a review when I can actually use the appBelle206
