This is a great memorial to a time before stifling and overwhelming health and safety crippled decision makers to the point that they’re now too afraid of phantoms to progress with any sort of momentum, let alone the pace required to push the limits of human endeavour above and beyond the imagination.
This isn’t an essay and I can see why we’re where we are, but some of the magic has gone, and sometimes magic is what’s needed to open the unknown to exploration and push back at seemingly invisible barriers.
Roll on Artemis, if NASA can remember how to tighten the gas cap properly and keep the tyres pumped up!
