  • Easy to personalize

I've taught adults who have developmental disabilities for almost 40 years. This is a fantastic, easy to use app for helping individuals maintain and improve their spelling skills. There are also several ready-made word lists that you can download.
  • Helpful app for non verbal ASD

A drawback is there is not a function to email weekly/ periodic results for file and tracking.
  • Spell a word

I really love this app but it stopped working today. You type the first word from his personalize list and you get kicked out of the program.
  • Perfect spelling 'game'

I'm mom writing on behalf of special needs daughter. i bought this app because of prior knowledge of RJ's work. and it didn't dissapoint. I like how I can create the spelling list, instead of some other pre-set list by other app developers.
also ability to use our own photos.

Although I used the word 'game' , it certainly isn't about a game, but built in success for the learner. My daughter is enjoying her spelling lessons!

  • Great app

This is great for learning to spell words.
  • Fabulous App!

There are very few apps that both my 12-year old daughter and 7-year-old daughter, both enjoy and better yet learn from. This app is so well-designed that by the end of the first day, we had made a spelling list for our jr. higher called tricky words (you know the ones I mean) and an "at" family list for my kindergartner, who happens to have Down syndrome. It was amazing to see both girls using the app as they needed it, and our youngest kept asking for more. It is extremely intuitive to set up. I know this will be an app we use weekly, especially as our youngest moves into 1st grade.

  • Super app for all!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this app. As an Assistive Technology Professional, I usually download the new apps from RJ Cooper when they come out so that I'm familiar with them. My four year old daughter found this one, and is enthralled. She is beginning to spell some sight words I put in for her and learning for fun! This is so easily customizable on so many levels! This is a great app for individuals with and without disabilities. Parents will love it for practicing spelling words.

The major thing I wish was that there was a password on the teacher controls and any editing functions, as well as to assign word lists. Down the road, it might also be nice to share word lists with other users-even though it might take away some of the customization, the ease of importing basic lists like sight words might be appealing to many folks.

  • He is spelling!

I have a 5 year old with Ds and autism. HE is spelling! I have to give this a 5 star rating!
The app lets us put pictures with words, dad's voice, and his spelling words!
I love the teachers control, the ability to adjust the speed of the lesson, and choose the number of drills per word. The ability to remove the verbal correction is wonderful for us because he will make a error just for the verbal correction and laugh. For us it is far more effective for the app NOT to respond when he does that.
The learners data gives me the feed back I need for homeschool. Easy!
The app is awesome as it is. If I could change anything right now it would be the feedback character. I would like to be able to choose a picture of a person he reponds to and have them record the feedback.
    Great app at the start!
