Manual mapping is not possible.
Very limited.
Wry disappointed
Does not allow you to enter coordinates.
Accuracy was extremely outside acceptable, best accuracy I could get after multi attempts was 4.3 meters.
You can get better accuracy from your mobile GPS and you can enter the. Oord I area you want.
Only $6.99 but I feel like someone is sitting somewhere saying ‘got another one’ hahaha
Don’t waste your money

Works great for me
I had no problems getting it to work and export kml. Love it.
Can’t Register so Can’t use it!
I thought it was strange that the app showed 3 attempts to register it and said that it wouldn’t work after trying 3 times, but found out that I did need to use more than one attempt. I can’t use the app until after I register it, but it just says “please wait...” when I try to register it, and won’t ever register. So this app is completely worthless. The is no support at all, so I can’t contact anyone to fix it. Looks like it would have been a great app if it worked.

Awesome App
I am a a civil engineer and needed something quick to gps field data at sites. I tested it out one day with a Trimble GeoXT 6000 and the points were almost identical. I am sure I will run into scenarios where I will need the Trimble but this works well if you just need something quick and dirty to pick up points at a site. Worth every penny!

How do you export?
Really like this app. Couldn't figure out bottom icons initially, didn't realize you can swipe them over to see more, such as the export icon. But once I found it, all was good. It would be nice to see how many satellite it sees. Also it would be nice if you can physically move points.
Export kml no good
Unable to open the kml files this app exports in google earth. Corrupt. Renders app useless. Disappointing.
So much potential, so little functionality...
The iMapit app concept has a lot of promise, but lacks the functionality to make it truly useful for most purposes.
It will work well if you have a relatively small area to map, and can do a continuous "survey" of the area all at once to get a complete picture (as the app description says, it's probably good for mapping a farm field).
The limitations:
- You cannot plug in a GPS coordinate that you already know, you have to go and visit the actual location to get it in your survey. This is a big time waster.
- You cannot manage GPS points recorded. For example if you have readings for 4 corners of a property, you cannot tell the app that these 4 points define an area. You actually have to physically go to each of the points while specifically doing an "area survey" to have them associated.
In my case I am trying to map a large property, where I cannot visit all points in one session. I want the area defined to aid in determining the property boundaries along the sides.
I already have many accurate coordinates along the borders taken with GPS units over many years, would be nice to plug them in, but I can't.
I have visited and registered the 4 corners over the last couple of months, but can't associate them to show anything useful.
The app interface is generally good, and with a little added functionality this could be a tremendously useful app. Hoping for this stuff in a new version...

Mapit not able to export from lite version to pro
I downloaded the lite version to map a site away from where I live, and found it very useful and easy.
My plan was if all went well to by the Pro version, which I did.
Now very disappointed I can't load the valuable data into Imapit Pro so I can use the export feature.
I hope a future version will allow re-use of data collected in Imapit Lite.

Disgraceful - the previous reviews are spot-on. ?There is no proofreading or QC here. Save yourself that three dollars.
