I love this app. I have paid for the full version on my iPhone and my iPad. I do wish, however, that the app would indicate which dialect it is using for each word, phrase, and sentence -as I have noticed from cross referencing that it differs tremendously.عشة
Really great app--wish it was the right dialect!!
I've been browsing many Arabic apps and this was the most fun and helpful of all of them. I love the quiz mode because you get to record yourself and compare it to the instructor. I also like that you can exclude words since my boyfriend has pointed out some differences in the dialect and usage of certain words (his family is from Syria), so I do have to check with him when learning words. Best FREE learning app!!
I've searched through apps over and over and by far this is my favorite. The flash cards are perfect for practicing to read and write in both the standard script and Roman display. The app also provides listening, reading and audio speed speaking tools.Bondizzie
Essential tool
This app has been the biggest help in learning a new language. Really, I can't say enough good things about it. I plan to buy the full version. It's worth every penny!! I love how you can adjust so many parts of it. You can adjust the speed of speech, the time between words, how fast new words are introduced. You even get to choose what words to learn. Great tool
I am a language nerd who has spent years scouring sources for language learning tools, especially for these types of languages that are particularly distant to English, and in just one week I have learned so much from this app! I keep it on "play mode" while I drive or get ready in the morning and learn a handful of words and phrases. It has many options and vocabulary packs to focus on, it keeps you connected to your "studies", and tracks your progress. They have this app for many languages and I can't wait to make major leeway in Arabic and try another. I've been using for close to a month. This app is great! I love the flash cards, and the fact that you can set it to how many words you want to learn a day. I love it. So much that I went and unlocked the entire series for 9.99. It's worth every penny.FancyFace-One
'A Must Have'
I have tried several apps for learning and revising Arabic and I must say, this one beats them.
I lived and worked in the middle east for a few years and knew enough Arabic to make basic conversations. However, after leaving, I have not had the opportunity to speak the language.
This app is absolutely perfect for beginners and anyone who wishes to revise what they have already learned. It's simple to use. You have the option of being given a number of words (you choose) per day to learn; otherwise, you can choose any words in any category. The teacher is very clear and you have the option of repeating a word and recording it; this helps to listen to and compare your pronunciation. It deserves five stars.Show lessSunrays!
