This is a fantastic teaching tool for " friends of ten". Lots of different opportunities to present ideas.

This app is a must for anyone wanting to ensure their child has a true grasp of 1:1 correspondence. Once this has been achieved, it's onto the vital understanding of number bonds to 10! The app is simple, clear and effective, with lovely activities for both teaching and reinforcing early number skills.

Disappointed
App does not work with IOS 5.1.1 on 1st gen iPad. Application error screen appears when selecting menu items. Plead fix!
So many possibilities
A great app with so many possiblitites both in the classroom and at home. Could be easily be used as a warm up activity in K,1 or 2 or you could use it as either an extension activity or part of stations.

This is a fantastic app. For a teacher trained in Maths Recovery, it's invaluable. The children love this visual approach which makes the learning experience exciting. The other apps by the same company are also excellent. Well done and thanks!

Friends of Ten helps to develop the picture of a number (called subitising). It also helps with addition and subtraction. My students use this app in a special needs class. It is a great visual tool and includes a teaching section. This is another quality app from Little Monkey Apps.

Best app I've seen for developing number sense and anchoring to 5 and 10. Well designed, easy interface and enough variety to keep kids interested. Well worth the money.

Fantastic App
The Friends of Ten app supports the development of number sense in relation to "ten". The variety of activities provides for the child's active engagement in developing the skills necessary for mathematical thinking, reasoning, problem solving, and relationships. The use of the "ten frame" in each activity supports the child's recognition of quantities in relation to "ten". This app is a MUST for any child learning and developing number sense!
