Constantly drops connection
This app used to be great now it only works 5mins at a time before dropping its connection.
Donโt Buy - Get LiveView instead
There are 2 things that annoy me about this app.
The first is that over a busy network this app is unable to connect with the desktop application to initiate screen mirroring. In most work situations, wifi networks are busy places, so for this basic use case to ignored is highly problematic. It also renders the application is unusable.
The most likely remedy for this is to be able to specify the IP and Port of the computer you want to connect to. This is faster than simply waiting for the iOS app to poll the desktop app in the hope of making a connection. This feature does not exist.
Secondly, the original application cost a fair chunk of change. To then charge for the mirroring app for your phone was rather annoying.
As an alternative, I have used LiveView for years, it has IP and Port specification and works much better over busy wife networks. It is also more expensive but easily worth it. As a professional designer tools like these are invaluable, but they also need to be robust and work in โreal worldโ situations. This application does not.

Amazing
Connecting xScope Mirror to xScope on my Mac was easy and worked flawlessly. The refresh rate of a displayed window on xScope Mirror is amazing considering what itโs doing.
Even being a software developer and understanding whatโs going on, it still truly seems magical!

Great app
Great app, really useful. Definitely recommended.
Hit with ugly stick = 1 star review
Just got an update for this app and all it did was make it uglier with no new interesting features, just like iOS 7. Very disappointed.
Indispensable
The ability to mirror to an iOS device is a lifesaver. Oh and the other features are awesome, too. Love it, love it, love it.
Impossible to connect:-(
I love Xscope. But this app is totally user-unfriendly. I followed all the steps of trouble shooting I found online--preferences, Bluetooth, firewall, bonjour, etc. I finally gave up. It is just impossible to connect! Frustrated!!!
Essential for web and app designers
xScope Mirror surpassed my expectations. Not only is it useful for previewing graphical interfaces and assets on iOS devices (particularly useful if you are creating retina-ready apps or websites), but it doubles up as a handy second monitor for me too.
I work on a MacBook Air when coding, which means I have to switch between windows frequently to see changes in the browser. With xScope Mirror, I can simply lock the browser window on my iPhone or iPad and code on my MacBook air without needing to switch windows! Every time I save my files, CodeKit (a 3rd party app) refreshes the browser window (now on the iPad) so I can keep my coding window focused while I preview changes on the iPad as I code. It's so useful and a great addition to the xScope suite.
