    Great app
  • Feelings

Very clever and simple game. As a social worker in children's services I use it at work to help children talk their feelings in a fun way. It a been fantastic in this respect.

What I do find frustrating is that I cannot go backwards or simply press a button to reset. To use the game again, I have go all the way through it to get back to the beginning.

The order of the word changed subtly and I'd to the order maintained or at least have a button with which to choose ordered or random.

The lovely little game has been so helpful to children whose life experience is very poor but it could be so much better with abit more control.

  • My son enjoys this app

My 4yr old reAlly enjoys this app, worth the $$. Thank-you keep up the good work :)
  • Good app but could be better

I like and use the app a lot with my adult developmentally disabled adults. I use it for phonics as well as discussing feelings. I do wish there were some more vocabulary words though. It would have 5 stars if it provided more vocabulary (i.e., hungry, thirsty, tired, etc.).
  • Great app.

I use this app in a social skills group for elementary students. They love it!
  • Feelings

Characters do not display clear emotions and are not animated. My 3 year old was not interested at all.
  • A great app mixing spelling with concepts of emotion

This is a great app. The fit and finish are top notch.
Works fine on my ipad 1s and iphones (3gs, 4, 4s).

My 5 yr old autistic son likes First Words Feelings very much.
I see him running this app all the time.

It's tough for autistic children to express themselves, as well as to identify the feelings of others.
I really appreciate the effort made by the developer to help children understand how to recognize and verbalize the emotions of themselves and others.

    Thanks!!

  • Great for autistic kids

My 6 year old son loves to play with this app and the first words deluxe. We were surprised at how quickly he picked it up because he is autistic with severe learning difficulties. He doesn't look at words in books, but he will quite happily drag the letters to the top of the screen to spell the words and point to each one while the app spells it out. This app is great because it introduces feelings which are difficulty for him to communicate. The one thing I would change about the app is to make the illustrations clearer, focusing on the face.
