It’s dead
Don’t sub, they haven’t done a new issue in a year. Little more than a sales rag these days anyway
If you love Cruiser Motorcycles you will adore this publication
I have been riding motorcycles for years and continue to subscribe to other motorcycle magazines but riding a traditional American V-Twin, the other magazines always left me feeling short on detail and news. But finally a magazine that write about bikes I have ridden, would like to own and ride or bikes I would just like to know more about. The focus and coverage is excellent....even the adverts are focused on my lifestyle. The publication is excellent and can be recommended.

Great value!
Don't let the preview edition put you off, the live version is great value with optional subscription offers - pity this was not a monthly edition!
American iron
I have been getting this mag for 4 years and find it really good. One of the best mags for those interested in American bikes.
Not what I was expecting
This app is just a preview. If you want the actual magazine, you have to buy it.

Old Skool Magazine
American V is a different take on the standard "bike mag" as it does not follow the usual format of bike launches then mini-tests then full road tests. Instead it's a mix of custom bikes (some good some not so), product tests (tested on real people in real conditions) and pretty in-depth road tests (again real-world based).
The title states what's in there i.e. mostly Harleys and some Victorys. If you like bikes from the western side of the Atlantic then this is your mag. Only criticism is sometimes too many similar custom bikes which can get a bit repetitive, hence the 4-star rating overall. This usually happens when the road test fleets are thin on the ground.
The road tests and product (e.g. clothing) tests are excellent and tell you how it is. If the bike has good bits they tell you, if the waterproofs leak.....they tell you. The engine upgrade articles are also very good.
All in all this is a refreshing change from the usual big-publisher bike mags with no coverage of race-reps or the standard "knee-down action" that has become so tedious. If you like cruisers, and especially Harley information then give American V a try. It is written by people who really know their subject.
It's certainly worth the money in my opinion.

AmericanV
Content is pretty good. Software is glitchy and uses allot of bandwidth. Never could get magazines to show up on phone and iPad with single purchase. Tech support was quick to fix subscription issues on first purchase.
Could be better
Great magazine but the iPad version is slow to update. Quicker to just go and buy the latest mag from the shops! How old fashioned 😉
Unbearable
The magazine is brilliant but the app is truly awful. It barely works, is slow, blurry and overcomplicated.
