  • Frustrated

I subscribe to a paper copy, and also an online one. I can download the magazine on the website, but NOT on the app. I am not impressed!
  • Great App

Everything one may need for all things Catholic - international or British
  • Fine publication but poor digital edition

Once your subscription runs out, you lose the issues you paid for. You cannot print out anything or read the issues off line easily. You also cannot access the web site, even though this subscription costs much more then web access. Avoid until rectified.
  • An ideal guide to religious and civic behaviour.

I enjoy the honesty. I find it a bit difficult at the moment to switch between articles. An absolute necessity for busy people who find the paper edition difficult to spare time to read. A thoughtful background to current problems of the Church such as celibacy! Personally in the coming years just as suitable men must be found for the priesthood as cardinals and elected Pope . Consequently suitable female priests, married - clergy such as the Anglican Church both men and women -who like all leaders will sometimes fail to live up to the demands of leadership and would be free to resign to take a parallel life as a lay person without recrimination. Serious failure needs the attention of civil society as well as the church itself! It might require punishment as an example to others acting on abusive feelings to young and old to reign in such temptations fulfilling Christ' s injunction to realise the extreme moral sinfulness of not displaying the
utmost respect for others especially the young not yet formed Christians in the steps of the apostles especially Peter who bravely confessed his errors and expressed his love for Christ and the assembly of His
Sexuality should develop as a gift -morally the individual's responsibility understanding Christ's own divine guidance rather than the interpretation put on sinfulness by others!

  • The Tablet

Excellent publication, more high level background than any other catholic publication.
    Support is fast and thorough.
  • Superb magazine!!!

Really worth the money. Full of interesting articles about the church and society around the world. Plus, you can sync loads of back issues and keep them even if your subscription runs out. Up-to-date topics and out every week. Simply Brilliant!!!
  • Worst Magazine App

I read most of my magazines on the ipad and I have subscriptions to many. None is worst than the Tablet. The Tablet itself is a fine magazine. They just need to learn how to develop an app. The app is simply a PDF. You cannot highlight anything. You cannot email an article. It is tiny on a screen, you have to zoom. Once you have finished reading a page, you have to remove it from zoom before you can move to the new page. They are rarely any updates to the app. I actually regret doing the ipad subscription. Now I have to wait for almost a year for my $109 or so to run out before I can cancel the subscription. I wish I could cancel the subscription. Stay away from ipad subscription unless you are willing to endure the inconveniences. They should hire the app design team of Time magazine.

  • Fine periodical, well-presented

For years, The Tablet has been a solid, balanced British Catholic newspaper. This app gives it an attractive digital presentation. One thing I'd appreciate is the ability to email an article to a friend. This could be a way to advertise the app to others (hint, hint!).
  • The Tablet : subscribe and get tied

Brilliant app., but impossible to unsubscribe during period of live subscription.

You have a narrow window of escape, prior to auto renewal. Don't get drawn in.
  • Great to see The Tablet App

Finally, the Tablet has come into the digital age! Pages not formatted for iPhone though - Difficult to read.

Update - Having read my first edition on my iPhone I'm happy to report the formatting isn't as much of a problem as I thought it would be.
