Reviews of Pinball Arcade

  • Won’t work in wide screen anymore

I am updating my review. In landscape mode I don’t see back screen on my I phone 12 pro max. When I put it in wide screen it keeps going back and forth between wide screen and land landscape automatically. I can’t stop it with out quitting but I can’t quit. So I put phone in the turning off mode and cancel it then go back to app and a new screen where it ask to continue comes on then I say quit. You had the best emulation and you had a few machines I had in basement the real ones. I hear you updating it for new phones in your news section. I see your app in iOS App Store. It said bug fixes 3 month ago. But all I see is it got worse. I like to get more tables but till it fully functioning like it was on my iPhone 5s I can’t see to buy anymore.

I got it with many pinball machines. Now I have iPhone 12 Pro Max and in wide screen the tables don’t work. They use to work in wide screen on my 5s. So disappointed. Please bring back working pinball in wide screen. Can’t even start games In wide screen. My favorite games are pinball. So just make it work on all the latest iPhones. thanks.

    Developer Response

Hey 111Superman, We understand the frustration. We do plan to get the display issues fixed at some point. We apologize for the extremely long wait. Thanks!
  • Absolutely the best

I have never seen or played a better pinball game on iPhone. Don’t pay attention to other reviews, try it yourself. This is by far the closest you will get to real live in person pinball. You must recognize that it is not the same but this game and the tables, I have played the real pinball machines, most all are classics, and they translate over very well in this game.

One of the absolute best games on the App Store. I don’t understand why ratings are not higher, and I don’t care. I know a quality game and this is one!
  • Overactive tilt function ruins this well-designed game

Over at the Williams pinball app, i can literally rotate my iPad around, or tilt the playing field slightly; in actuality, I think i have only ever tilted twice in countless hours of play over there.

That is because the Williams' designers realize this is a miniature pinball table you are holding in your hands, and they also realize you're going to get excited and jiggle the table unconsciously; the designers here, unfortunately, have not taken these facts into account, and instead, would rather imitate the retro pinball experience of the arcade owners of the 70s who would jack the back legs up all the way, and increase the tilt sensitivity to increase the House advantage.

What a tragic waste because the tables are very well done here, and there are many here that i do not have on my virtual table at home (328 tables, and they don't tilt much either). At Pinball Arcade, however, you will tilt every game, and
naturally you will feel cheated because you are not intentionally tilting the game to gain advantage (it's free, so naturally you're not eorried sbout being gypped, you just slipped holding your iPad.)
