Latest update (52) is terrible!
The most recent update 52 (as of this review) is a huge step backwards and Insincerely wish there is a simple way to downgrade. As others have commented, it turns what is supposed to be a virtual library for your MXA subscription into makeshift single page scrolling website. Random articles from the website are at the top of the page and to even get to the magazine issues you have to scroll very far down below to a random point on the page. Once there, the only option to view scroll through issues is single cover list mode as the grid view has been removed. There is also no apparent way to view the magazine continuously without downloading it first as it still defaults back to web based list and only allows you to toggle to the magazine page view for that specific article. One test I was reading referred to Page 124 and 126 for more technical info but guess what, there’s no way to navigate to a specific page… While I do understand the need for an app that mirrors the website for overall engagement, there needs to be a separate section or separate app for the ‘digital newsstand’ function.

Old version better
Not sure why they needed to change . Like the old version to open individual issues and read like a magazine
New update not to my liking
The latest update basically turned the magazine app into a webpage. I lost access to previous magazine purchases or it falls into the “just too hard to do” box. Good bye, I’m deleting the app. If MTB ACTION, RB ACTION AND DIRT BIKE all go the same way I’ll delete them too. There are plenty of websites that cover the content without going to an app which is supposed to be my magazine rack. Sometimes simple is better.

Need to redownload each time Not cool
Awesome content but.....Each time I wanna read my purchase, I need to redownload it. It’s terrible because now I cannot read any of my issues during a long flight. So basically no wifi means no MXA or any other Hi Torque Publication magazines to read. I’m going back to the paper version, at least I can read em when I want.

Buggy
The app is horrible. The issues constantly redownload. If you nudge an article left or right, it resets to the top of the page. Downloaded issues don’t act like they downloaded and take a lot of time to render. Very frustrating.
Needs updating
Great app if you love dirt bikes but hard to read on I phone x because it doesn’t cover the whole of the screen so I recommend if you update the app to fit across all plat forms.
Great Mag, Poor App Performance
My feed has not updated since the 15th of September. I have tried restoring my purchases and even deleting and reinstalling the app. There are many other issues feed feature in this app too like freezing and not showing the pictures beside the feed list. The magazine section seems to work good.
It is to bad the app is so glitchy as MXA is a great magazine with the best reviews of bikes and gear. But because of poor app performance I deleted my subscription :(.

Great mag. Struggles with iPad app
I’ve been reading the magazine for decades.
The app is very “buggy”. Frequently the new magazine has to be downloaded numerous times, or even every time I want to read it.
It’s a long term problem, which despite bringing to the attention of the “app people” continues
Many other Motorcycle magazines apps work a lot better.
I’ll persvere, for now, as I really rate the content.
Update.
This app seems to get worse and worse. It’s frankly not “fit for purpose.” If it were a bike, it wouldn’t start.
My iPad is fully updated. I spend (waste!) time doing all the “normal” fixes. - inc deleting the app, and reloading.
Can’t even read the December issue, at all.
Most issues can only be read with an Internet connection (despite “downloading” them numerous times)
I read numerous motorcycles magazines on various apps on the same iPad. Virtually zero issues.
It’s unlikely I’ll renew my (long running) subscription.

Horrible. Buggy. Will not retain downloads.
All Hi-Torque magazine apps are useless offline. Apparently they don’t care, or are too incompetent to find a fix.
Please Fix
App doesn't remember the page you are on, loses your book marks, takes forever to load the content pages, constantly zooms out when you scroll to the edge of the page. I have the same issue with other newsstand subscriptions. Digital magazines can be done right, but I am tired of waiting for these to be fixed. If you can, subscribe through the Zinio app.
