  • A little clunky but worth the money

I like the product in that it is unique in filling a gap for English learners of Chinese idioms. Most of the chengyu apps are designed for Chinese people or just have a few chengyu with stories. This one tests you. I do think the lessons have too many chengyu. Ten instead of fifty would be much more manageable. Additionally it would be nice to be able to see the English definitions of the chengyu in the statistics section. Audio would also help as this helps reinforce the proverbs. Also the test jumps too quick to the next question if you get the question right. A one or two second pause would be nice.

  • Less is more!

There are thousands of Chinese idioms that would take a lifetime to learn. Master Idioms streamlines and simplifies the leaning process by teaching the top 300.Very easy to use! Try learning one a day.
  • I like the quiz mode!

As the title says, I love the test mode in this app. It's a spinning wheel where you align all 4 characters to match its English definition. This is much tougher than a simple multiple choice, but at the same time, helps me narrow down the exact answer since there are many Chinese idioms that all mean roughly the same thing.

I only wish the graphics was prettier and ideally a picture for every idiom (understand that will cost more). But the quiz mode is worth the 99c.
