Essential for Geo-tagging Photos
I bought an S110 camera thinking it had a GPS receiver built in but no, it needs this app to GPS tag the camera photos using a log file recorded then transferred to the camera via a 3G or 4G enabled iPhone or iPad.
It works a treat though connecting your camera and phone directly or via your WiFi network.
You can also use it print or email photos stored on your camera.

Pretty decent app. Does what it is supposed to do. If you have connectivity issues, reset wifi settings

I think canon has a lot of work to do on this app. It still doesn't register a connection with my camera so it sort of makes it useless. I suggest waiting until they have fixed the problem.

Canon might produce great cameras but they seem to have no idea how to commission decent software. On an iPad this is a clunky, terminally slow app that does not even allow its opening screen to run in landscape.
Once, after an age of fiddling with the camera, and another age for it to connect, there is a window that allows you to view the snaps as thumbnails or individually that is your lot unless you save a picture. Imagination utterly lacking.
The above said, the PC apps are even worse. If Canon really wants to take on the mobile phone then it is going to have to work a lot harder on the software side.

Works well with new OS
Managed to connect with my S110 very easily- I think that there were some prior concerns that it was not working with the new iPhone OS but it does now. Quite a simple app to work as well.

Took a while to figure it out, but was simple in the end. Using the iPad as a smartphone and worked perfectly. Now have photos from my S110 on my iPad. Very happy. Great app!

This is a great app and Canon have made it perfectly clear which cameras are compatible - those that have tried to use it with a camera which is not compatible and then have rated this as one star are to put it bluntly stupid. Nowhere do Canon say this is compatible with the d6 !!! Not surprising at all they can't get it to work !!! Works perfectly with my s110 !!!! My advice - read the info and then rate it accordingly !!!! Such a shame that a good app will now have its ratings effected by people who have failed to read the overview !!!

Update required
This was a good app and worked reasonably well although it did suffer from unreliable camera connection issues but it now needs an update to work with IOS6 as it has no connection to camera at all since IOS6 update. Please fix.
