2.8.0

December 4, 2023

A major update internally, but with relatively few visible changes. 2.8.0 now only runs on iOS version 14 or later, thus taking advantage of UI features only available in later versions of the OS and removing many former bug workarounds necessary for older versions. As a result, Watches should be more compatible, better performing with smoother animations and a more standardized UI. A lot of UI code has been rewritten for this release, so please let me know of ANY UI glitches or oddities (or any other issues too). There weren't any changes to the data handling, so shouldn't be any problems there. Minor Features Now that iPhones have more space, increased spacing between watches (optional) Can edit a race's date and location Like Safari, Watches now autohides bars on iPhone when scrolling to give more room for watches More photo-forward faces to identify people Photos stored in higher resolution. Works on Apple Silicon Macs Photos are presented as circular Drag/Drop photos Scale/crop photos when importing Undo messages have more detail Multi selection allowed during History Edit and All People Edit More use of popovers for field editing Faster graph animation Rebuilt all "faces" to scale better in different size phones/iPad/Mac Fixes: Fixed Volume buttons More consistent text colors (e.g. red for warnings) Dark mode more consistent "Swipe to delete" more consistent with iOS standard Undo Lap now removes from visible watch as well

2.6.3

March 3, 2019

Bug fixes: More reliable volume-control buttons. Exports to CSV and Text more compatible with Excel. Recent Races! In one way or another, multiple people have asked to make it easier to switch between recent races. Either they are editing them, or they are tracking multiple groups in simultaneous races, or they want to set up several races for a day, and quickly access them. In the Main menu, I've added an option for "Recent Races", which shows the last few races. (You can easily add/remove them from this list) Then with two taps, you can switch back and forth between these races.

Description of Ultimate Stopwatch

The Ultimate Stopwatch is a professional timing tool for the iPhone and iPad, providing multiple stopwatches to track multiple people across multiple events, especially for coaches, trainers, or PE teachers. Simple to use, but powerful enough to handle all your needs. No Limits ========= Unlimited number of watches (an incredible 180 displayed at once on an iPad Pro!) Unlimited number of races, each with location and notes; switch back/forth with a swipe Unlimited laps per watch (last 4 to 10 displayed, depending on watch "face" used) Watches run even when app is in the background Complete control ================ Edit built-in activity list to include whatever sports/events you track Control each watch separately, or use master start/stop/reset Choose from 25 different stopwatch formats (iPhone/iPad, size, photos, more/less info shown) Switch at any time between split/cumulative display, or even both! Control the fractions of a second to display (tenths, hundreds, thousandths) Unlimited People ================ Organize your people into teams, classes, or groups Report for each person on what their races/times have been across all races Import people from your contacts, including photos and emails Track personal best for each kind of race for each person Flexible Reports ================ Add notes to each race or even each person in a race Sort reports by time or by name Print reports or copy/paste into other applications, or export as CSV into Excel Send reports via email to each person or to the whole group Track and report which type of activity was timed (even separately for each watch) Find a race by name, or use the map to find it by location Set time display units and split options for reports separately from watches Graphs of individual or race performance. Easy to use ============ Launch a race without even looking, using the volume button Run multiple races simultaneously, easily switching between them Not sure who's coming in? Save a temporary Lap or Stop and assign it later Load a race for a whole group in a single tap with a huge start button Auto-sort watches: as each person completes a lap, they drop to the bottom, so next lap they're easy to find. Or manually drag watches into whatever order you like Track photos for each person to help identify during a large group run Add, sort, or delete watches, even while race is ongoing Correct timing mistakes by easily editing any time for any watch or lap Undo any mistakes throughout the app (such as on a false start or hitting the wrong lap button: just shake and accept the undo) Use Staggered starts to automatically spread out your runners over time, or launch a new group all at once Full Screen launch board so each runner knows when to go
