Class schedule

I often use this in my classroom. I have saved PCS symbols for our classroom routine and use these to help my students with autism. It would be great if I could just have a day option too rather than the whole week.

Cannot Live Without This !!

Best Assisting Tool Ever !! I have a child with Autism, this is our saving grace. It’s important for all kids especially those with a
few unique quirks to have β€œroutine” & comfort/security in planning out the day & week. We love the interactive fun ! The coloured days, checking the weather, finding images for new events, putting in selected icons, using the blackboard to write other events. It’s our special time on a Sunday together, planning out the week and it makes him β€œ Happy”. It gives him a sense of responsibility & control. We no longer micro manage morning & evening routine - Hooray!! but simply have the weekly events printed out on the kitchen fridge. An absolute time saver being able to drop & drag. Fun to be able to personalise & be creative with photo imports etc also important to show little ones, iPad can be a great productive tool, not just a technological game. We have been using this tool for 4yr now, love it ...... πŸ‘πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜Š Thank You xx

Not so great

First issue I faced is I cannot add more than 6 activities.
Second, custom badges can be only hand written and cannot use keyboard to type in text.
Third, once a badge is created, we cannot edit to update again, have to start from scratch, painful process.

I was hoping to use this to plan my kid’s day to day activities starting from his wake up to sleep and involving shower, breakfast, homework, school, play, sports activities etc..., but very disappointed with the purchase !

Great at first

Loved the flexible icons and great design, but only a limited number of icons fit in a day. Fine for younger kids, but not as good for older kiddos on the autism spectrum who have more tasks per day. Also, there's no way to select just "today" - which is where my son gets visually overwhelmed (he wants top days tasks to be like tomorrow's). Add those options and it'd be a 5 star app!

Good

Good app for broad day planning.

Can't see future weeks

Ok. Like the visual aspect, and the ability to add photos and drawings to customize icons, but seriously lacking in capability. It is basically an electronic whiteboard of a week: you can't work on next week, can't view coming events...just wipe and restart every week. Absolutely no context which is what kids need to understand the passing of days.

Great kids planner!

Love this app! My 5 year old likes to see what he has on for the day/week. The ability to add your own pictures/photos & notes is great. Only addition would be to be able to plan the following week ahead also, not just the current week. Fantastic app!

My kids love this app!!!

Easy to use, and fun!!! My kids love adding custom pics of their activities and customizing the color scheme. Love the holidays add-in option. :)

How we use this app with our toddlers

This app is self-explainatory. I don't know what the person who wrote "It comes with no instructions," is talking about because with a couple swipes it is EXTREMELY EASY to learn.

How we use it with our toddlers:
1. At the beginning of the day we use the app as a visual to go through what we're going to do that day. "Today we're going to the library for story time, then the grocery store, then after supper take a bath." This way there are no surprises for them so they aren't surprised/agitated when it's time to get our shoes on to leave.

2. In doing that they are learning the days of the week without guided learning--it's just happening.

3. We add the weather badge and say, "The weather is rainy today! That means it's cool and we need rain jackets!" etc., so they are learning about weather and dressing for it.

I really wish it had:
- A "Daily Planner" for recurring Morning Routine and Before Bed Routine.
- The ability to "check off" things done.
- The current day of the week highlighted a little brighter than the other days of the week.
- I'd purchase chore icons. Feather duster, trash can, vacuum, etc. (Bathroom & dishes icons are already included, obviously.) These are all things older toddlers.

Potential, but missing too many necessary features

There are no instructions? The description of the app says its possible for a child to create his or her own icons. I'm a parent and I can't figure out how to do it, so I'm wondering how my special needs children will figure it out. It's also not obvious how to upload a photo. With only the free icons, this app is not very useable. The ability to add my own icons or photos would be very helpful.
Disappointed that I spent $1.99 on this app.
