    Cool app
  • Wildcard Mask

I just discovered this app today and I have to say it’s really handy. Suggestions: adding a wildcard mask to the list will make it a 5 star review for me. Great app

    Developer Response

Thank you for your review. I am very happy that I got a good review from you. My the other app ‘Subnet Mask’ may be helpful if you would like to know a wildcard mask from a prefix length. As regards adding a wildcard mask to ‘IP Keypad - Subnet Calculator’, I think I have to consider carefully. A addresses represented by a wildcard mask may contain multiple subnetworks (or multiple networks). On the other hand, this app shows information assuming a single subnetwork (or a single network). For instance, this app shows Number of host addresses, but the value is incorrect if addresses represented by a address and a mask entered in this app contains multiple subnetworks (or multiple networks). This is because network addresses and directed broadcast addresses of each subnetwork (or each network) need to be excluded from number of host addresses. I am worried that it might cause confusion when this app shows a wildcard mask because this app only assume a single subnetwork (or a single network). I would like to work for this issue if l found good idea to solve this.
