I’m using it for awhile, enjoying the free services they are offering. I don’t complain about ads they have to make profit. This Quran, you can’t interrupted for any reason. It started for awhile now to interrupt the recitation and let you go out of the app to start it again so you see ads, at this point you lose the track of your recitation listening and forget what verse you are in. So annoying. Are you doing this for ager or profit?
Update:
I received your response, jazaak Allah Khair for that. You may have not understood my concern. While the recitation the app freezes and shots of. So when I go back to the app I find it restarting, then I have to go through ads before I go back to my surah and aya I was in. Then after 10 or 20 ayas, it does the same thing, kick my out from the app. I notice that happens when I read and listening at the same time. But when I’m just listening for example in the car and the app is not showing in the screen it doesn’t stop the reading. It’s something has to do with recitation and app is on the screen. I hope I was clear this time.Show lessDeveloper Response
Salam, We are sorry for the inconvenience you have experienced with the app freezing during recitation. This issue has already been reported to our team and will be resolved in the upcoming app update. Thanks for your patience and understanding as we work to fix this.Irrelevant and unreliable notifications
Update 7/8/25: Athan only sends me prayer notifications when I am logged out. As soon as I log in with my account, the only notifications I get are the stories notifications. Easy solution but seems like a bug.

Update 7/3/24: Athan stopped sending me prayer notifications. I was only getting the notifications to read the stories every day at noon that I can’t turn off. (So obviously I have notifications turned on correctly.) So I deleted the app and reinstalled it. It worked this morning and to tell me to read stories at noon but then didn’t alert me to Dohr. Please at least make sure the prayer notifications work properly! This is literally the ONLY job this app is supposed to do! If it can’t do that, it’s unreliable.

Previous review: I just want an app that gives me the prayer times and athan and qibla direction. This one has all kinds of other stuff that I can’t turn off. I only have the prayer alert notifications turned on but I get all these other notices about stories etc and I see nowhere to disable them. This app used to be simple and did its one job well, but now it seems to have all kinds of extras and is trying to also be a news site, community, social media, Quran, etc, etc. Those would be fine if you could turn them off but it seems to only way to do that would be to turn off notifications, which means you lose the athan, and then what’s the point of this app?Show lessDeveloper Response
Salam, To receive prayer alerts on time, please go to your phone settings: Notifications and tap on Athan app icon. Moreover, choose "Notifications center" and turn it on. In "Alert Style", choose alerts, Turn "Badge App icon" on, turn "Sounds" on and turn "View in lock screen" on. Then open the Athan app; App settings; Turn on "Prayer alerts". Make sure that your device is not on Silent mode and your ringer/media volume is high. In case you still face any issue, please feel free to contact at support@islamicfinder.org. Thank you!Irrelevant and unreliable notifications
