An ex-subscriber who stupidly gave Stuff a second chance!
I left a 1 star review last week that was published but when when I visited the site today my previous review is now rated at 2 stars. Has someone from Stuff altered my score? This app is terrible but it's not nearly as bad as the lack of support from Stuff for those who have subscribed to their magazine. Like all the other recent reviewers I've had no feedback from Stuff.
As a previous subscriber I really should have known better but in a moment of madness I decided to download the June 2013 issue. Surely a tech magazine would have fixed all the problems that have been reported by readers over the past few months. Not a chance. The June issue crashes as soon as you try to view it. From previous experience I know that there's no chance of receiving any contact from the publishers to say sorry or offer a refund.
Do not bother attempting to download Stuff unless you enjoy wasting time and money.

Nothing in U.S. $
Not sure if you can get the advertised items in the U.S. it's like a Sharper Image catalog subscription for the U.K.
Very clever app
After getting an iPad for Christmas I wanted to download some apps. Then stuff sent me an email with a free best of 2012. I loved it. But this was the best of, I wasn't too sure if a normal issue would live up to it. Then, stuff sent me a push saying January issue was free as a New Years present - bit eager I thought, but free again why not.
Once again a good read, perhaps stuff some how see this, realise I need one further push to subscribe and give me another free feb issue? Go on, I promise I'll subscribe after!

Warning.
It seems counterintuitive, from a marketing point of view, that if you're trying to get me to like your magazine, or at least one that I've never heard of, you would at least give me one or two issues for free with the download so I can see if it's for me. (Like every other app in the newsstand.)
This app asks for your personal information, THEN informs you that you'll get nothing as a sample.
Issues are about $5 apiece, which is a lousy exchange rate with the advertised UK pice of $Β£2.95. (Should about $4, although this might Apple's bad attempt at banking.)
Bad manners, bad marketing = Instant delete.

Written by monkeys who are managed by nerds
Agree with previous reviews complaining of unnecessarily complicated navigation through magazine. Its a gadget mag thats actually too 'clever' that only acts to distract and irritate. You end up actually wondering whether you have read the whole magazine because of this.
Other issues also prove this app has been poorly designed & tested.
Latest app version forces you to agree to communications from Stuff and its partners before it will allow you to sign up as a new reader - even when you are an existing (iTunes) subscriber. Very unethical.
It also doesn't delete monthly issues as the app option is supposed to allow and if you then download the same issue again - it somehow records this as a new issue and doubles up the space used for this. E.g. download Nov issue - settings/usage shows this as 297mb used. Then 'delete' Nov issue (actually needed to as missing page errors shown from first attempted download) and then download Nov issue again - which fails because iPad is now out of space. Check iPad settings/usage again and now shows Stuff using 611mb with no successfully downloaded issues...... So there appears to be no check on space available versus space required before the download begins and a failure to clean up redundant space use after this.
Don't waste your time with this app.

Free view is scam
Free view is scam to get your info. If the free view does not work I would think there regular view would not work to.
Omg..worst app ever
Not even 1 star..its a shamefull app..i dont believe that apple allows such a crappy app to be displayed...doesnt download properly..if somehow you manage it it doesnt log in...i after 10 try you open you cannot read it..terrible..absolutly the worst app that i bought..
Garbage
Holy Smoke is this awful. It's a scam and mind numbing at the same time. It's not free, not even partially. It lets you register...and then you see the mag for about five seconds and it goes back to register screen again, and again.....and every time you try to do it. Apple should be booting this crap.
Any positive reviews MUST be made by employees or girlfriends....there's no way someone would rate this above garbage level.

Rubbish and frustrating avoid avoid avoid!!!
Constantly have to reregister and when I try to read the December issue I have purchased it constantly goes back to the registration screen. Really really frustrating, wasted $4.99. Rubbish rubbish rubbish
Awesome
The best tech magazine app ever so far. I am a T3 reader too; their mags are excellent but their app is horrible.
When STUFF launched their app almost a year ago they were perfect BUT not to the T3 level when it came to the Multimedia added on the mag. But STUFF got better with every issue they released until ultimately they released this recent update and now we can read STUFF on iPhone 5 using the perfect screen...
Oh the ability just to go through the mag on the iPhone is extremely convenient since I do not carry my iPad every where...well now mini-iPad is out and I do not have an excuse not to carry one....
Good job and highly recommended....
